I've used this a couple of times hunting in new Zealand, for an overnight its fine, but for multiple days it just doesn't breathe well enough.
Still, for the weight and especially for the price its a good bit of kit. It, a survival blanket, and a down jacket plus pants will get you through a pretty terrible night if you cant get back to camp

I use a bivvy and put my sleeping system inside, but I have used it outside and it does repel water. But over a few hours it gets damp and cold. Is that condensation? I have sprayed it several times with nikwax spray. Inside the bivvy is the inflatable pad, sleeping bag and liner. Outside is a zedpad.

Interesting video to watvh and I've got the bivi bag but never tested it on a wild camp. It's great to know its waterproof as it's so lite and compact.
It does feel pretty good material and I do like mountain warehouse stuff as I've bought few of their tents etc.
Just wondering how well does it hold up in heavy rain for a few hours?
Going to try this soon for a local wild camp!

I think it should hold up in very heavy rain, but ive not tested it yet to see if it breaths Atb Andy

Thinking of picking this up, never used/owned a bivy bag before. Hows it held up over the 6 month's, mate. Would you reccomend it ?
    Cheers

The only arse ache is getting in it, but I suppose that's just practice. I fit a mummy shaped 3 season sleeping bag and a thin air mat inside for protection then sorting out hoods and a pillow and adjusting the toggles is a bit arm bending.😴🤔

Terrible product. If something is waterproof it’s not breathable. And this certainly isn’t.

@@andyoutdoors4350 It’s not, I assure you. In February, I stayed on Winter Tor on Dartmoor. I used a British Army Arctic pattern 90 sleeping bag, and a British Army ‘Goretex’ bivvy bag. The temp went down to -6.
I was sleeping under a British Army Basha, so plenty of air flow..
Woke up in the morning to find condensation in the ‘breathable Goretex’ bivvy bag. There is NOTHING that is breathable AND waterproof, apart from skin. And even that will let water through if submerged long enough. GORETEX is just a trade name.
      All the best.👍🏾🇬🇧

@@Soggz7785 - What you're discussing, is "Moisture and Vapour permeability" -- Which is a rating.
You can, 1000% get high MVP ratings. (Consider arctic and alpine expeditions) - You'll pay through the nose for it, but it exists.
