Some relatives from England came to visit. Landed on the East Coast (Halifax) and boarded a train for the West Coast (Vancouver). They where shocked to learn that 2 days later they where only ½ way across the country. They eventually moved here. Story by ME!
Love your vids. Keep up the great content. 🤠

Hello and welcome to Saskatchewan. I'm 50 km north of Saskatoon, a town called Hepburn. Big fan of yours. I've been watching your channel for 2 yrs. Over the years, farming here has changed greatly. From my grandparents' small farm ( a community just north of Pelly, which no longer exists) to today's huge massive farming. No longer are the days of the small farm. It's really a shame, but I hope you enjoy the province and the map. I await with anticipation where this goes.

Five minutes in and I already feel at home. This is my kind of map, I played this one for a few weeks and will probably move back when/if I ever get bored. It is a great map. Swathing rocks.

Nice to see you enjoying the map.
Yes Saskatchewan can get -35 most late winter months...right now it's +3c as spring in around the corner.
Sorry to see you got a bad start on day one of Canadian farming....farmers don't normally rip ppl.off.

Mar. 24, 2023 What a way to start a map Mr. Sealyp!!! You did all that work (and that was NOT a small field) and yet the farmer did not pay you!!! Maybe you should have completed the contract before you purchased the auger?? Sometimes the dynamics of this game make me want to stop playing altogether. Yes, I know it's just a game but that doesn't make it any less frustrating!!! I had several contracts on Griffin, Indiana that did the same thing (Remember the problem with selling off the train??). If I didn't collect them right away, they would disappear and I wouldn't get paid!! I say, put down a government sign (off camera) prior to your next episode, collect the money owed to you (it was $24,000 at least), and then work it into the storyline that you contacted the Farmer and he paid you. Great new "Let's Play". Looking forward to Ep #2. Take care sir. Hugs to the family and a treat for FarmDog.

    Really enjoying this map.
To note, I wouldn’t suggest using the train at the moment, as it is possible it will get stuck off map and you’ll never see it again. The map maker is aware of this and is working on an update.

Was hoping you would pick Edgewater! Great map, enjoyed playing on it recently, started at the same location as you too. Big fan of Mike Mitchell's channel, it was the first farming channel I watched on here and is still my favourite. Harvester wise, the Laverda (Agco levelling pack) is good, I've been using it on Hills of Tuscany, but struggles big time if left to a worker to use.

I live next to Saskatchewan them and us have hit -50s at almost every year haha. It’s also been the coldest inhabited place in the world where I live multiple times during that day I was outside playing hockey for 8 hours at an outdoor rink. Hockey keeps you warm but don’t get sweating or you’ll find yourself a popsicle and not a good one. Best places to visit would be Newfoundland/Halifax/PEI is amazingly beautiful, Ontario for loads of fishing fun, Ottawa for museums, historical relevancy, and that’s where all the political stuff is, Toronto for a few things and then get out quick lol it’s the USA city of Canada haha. Skip all the way across the rest of the lower country over to Alberta because Manitoba and Saskatchewan have like nothing but farming and flatland, and I mean, I couldn’t name a single thing that would make me want to go to those places other than Moose jaw for the underground tunnels that were used in the moon shining days very few little attractions here and there. Alberta is wonderfully beautiful in the countryside. Throughout all the mountains, even have a desert in the lower section same with BC they also have a desert yeah you heart that right. Alberta has the royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller Vulcan, Alberta, where you can go and see a whole bunch of cool star trek stuff the oil sands if you’re looking to spend a whole bunch of extra money on the same stuff that you could buy for a lot cheaper just a bit south. British Columbia they have wonderful places all across from Kelowna to Vancouver island. I’ve travelled the entire lower half of Canada in 3 months from BC-Newfoundland It’s beautiful. Since you like farming obviously we all do Alberta ‘s got the planes all the way into the mountains. Yeah that’s why you can skip Saskatchewan and Manitoba you can see all of that and Alberta plus you got mountains and desert and dinosaur museums and art museums the worlds biggest mall, well formally the biggest ones now in Japan if I’m not mistaken. So I wouldn’t say to spend too much time at West Edmonton Mall well known for gun violence boom threat, violent assaults with deadly weapons massive actuations all the time I was there one time when everybody had to flee them all because someone called in a threat of explosive nature not fun. Back when the Vancouver grizzlies were around would’ve been a good time to visit West Edmonton. Mall wasn’t so bad then these days it’s a run downhill show you wanna go to the worlds big mall go to Japan probably a lot more safe there

I love the field layout. Its very typical for Canadian farm land. It reminds me of jigsaw puzzle pieces lol. It is not very AI friendly but certainly can make use of them. I can see this map not very appealing to non Canadians lol but for us its what we know and see and yes square and retangle fields work best for AI workers but this map requires a lot of hands on do it yourself.

Looking forward to seeing how this one progresses. I did try the map myself and alas like you said the vast fields and twisty waterways all over them drive me a bit spare so it's not for me. I'm very much in favour of you doing two Lets Plays when one of these much anticipated other maps shows up, provided you can work out the logistics without breaking yourself. A combination of a big North American style map, and one with smaller fields, hedges and twisty lanes would go down a treat, just my two pennorth. Good luck with the contracts, hope that one was an anomaly. I do suspect the game playing silly buggers with you as you came out and enabled the AGI pack when the contract was "complete" but we shall have to see.

  • @seanobrien7169

The secret to ai workers on this map is take a couple passes yourself around the edge of the field then just set them straight down the middle. Let them pick a side to work then bring them back to the middle and they will go to the other side. That said, it is a terrible map for field workers. I loved every minute of it.

A bit copied from a random paragraph I was able to find. It seems it's one of those things where the more answers are found, the more questions there are.
the roots of “lorry” are a bit mysterious. Actually, they are very mysterious, and the best guess is that it comes from the obsolete English dialect term “lurry,” meaning “to carry or drag along.” Unfortunately (again), no one knows where “lurry” came from either, so the trail goes cold at that point. We do know that “lorry” first appeared in print in the early 19th century meaning “a long, low wagon,” and by 1911 had acquired its modern meaning of “a large motor vehicle used to carry cargo.”
