What's my process? Depends on the save. Sometimes I do rags to riches survival where I start from the ground up. Most times I start in new farmer, trade in the equipment for what I want and just play. Sometimes I play fast and loose and cheat my butt off. I know many dont like that but I find it to be the most fun. I rarely worry about the money, and I do most contracts. When I get bored I just delete the save and move along. Even within a save I change things up depending on mood. I dont take any of it too seriously at this point, I just play to relax. I also try to do things differently, create little challenges, play maps I dont like etc...

Enjoying this so far! Audiobooks are my go to for reading these days when I have a lot less time to sit and read. It is great to listen to books you enjoy also. It is a new way to experience them, and a very different experience at that. May I recommend Scribd (to you and anyone else interested). Monthly fee with a hell of a lot of books and audiobooks on it. Kinda like spotify for books.
Process for playing depends on the save and what I want to achieve. When starting from scratch like this I will prioritise the basic equipment first, and then land. I am on PC though and will use the lease to buy mod which greatly aids in such a way of playing. So I can long term lease things and pay them off as I lease them (as you would in real life) and then go for feed.
One way I differ in my game play is I do not hoard or stockpile things in excess. I will work out how much of something I will need and then work out if I have enough of it. So bales, for example, I will keep enough to get me through winter (with a small margin extra just in case I am wrong), and everything else is just sold. The cash is useful. Same for everything really. Productions I will fill with what I need. So if I have a seed production I will produce the seed I need, not 60k litres which I can never ever use. Different play styles.

WOW Mr Skinny P, Huge open map, driving huge Case tractors and giggling like a school boy. This is all my favorite things in one series! I am actually so inspired I just deleted my second play through on New Giants Island (Nostalgia reasons will always be on of my favs.) I am headed to Canada to start a long with this series. I will tell you, I am loving edgewater. Very different with the fields. Even know I did flatten out a lot of the run off ditches in my fields I did leave some lakes and stuff for a little diversity. It’s been a blast.
I enjoy plowing, probably my favorite thing in this game. Next comes grass work. And animals, especially the cattle. I mean, it is all cool, really, even forestry. I think orchard work is my least favorite, don't much like that. But I like plowing. Sure do.

That old quad trac mode is a great mod, love the price, but i hate the hitch. It does have an invisible 3 point already on it... And the drawbar hitch as you've seen hooks up but in the wrong location. Im hoping it gets fixed when he releases the wheeled version update... DJ talked about it a while ago. But i havent heard anything about that update in months. In fs19 we had it, was much better and it was wheeled. Used to use it quiet a bit..still do when i play 19

That case magnum is wonderful to work with. I had it on my Vineland farm before he made it a universal mod. Having it on edgewater is a chefs kiss.

My Grandad taught me how to work a horse drawn plough, as during WW2 due to fuel being unavailable they to uses the horses instead. He passed it onto me and i spent my college summers on the model farm at Beamish were i got to do some ploughing with horses. Would love that in farm sim, as it'd be a fun way to do a model farm like furling

Hope you get on with this map better than me, after finishing going round the first field I fell out of the combine almost, dizzy as a ducks ass with all thos twists and turns, a real sadistic map creator, had to do it myself as courseplay would not calculate the course, I bought gps for the combine to make it easier.
Tree forwarding would be a very nice task to do with horses.

On the first Ploughing Contract, why didn’t you use the Tractor you’d “payed” for with your own, wider/faster, plough? Would have saved on maintenance costs especially, plus diesel. Still a good video though, as usual.

After harvesting the home farm, I decided to host the local ploughing match. I brought in all the little old tractors with little ploughs and let them loose six at a time to plough the field. With the washouts it is a fulltime job to get the "participants" out of the ditches. :-)
If you do a Harvest contract, can't you bale up the straw and sell that? There is some good money. Looking forward to see what happens in this serie. 🙂👍
It needs to be picked up by LIZARD forage pickup mod and dump to trailer, then you can bale it in your own property. Pc got mod that allows bale contract straw
Pretty sure you need the Pick Up Straw At Missions mod to collect the straw at all, regardless of which way you do it.

That tractor has a 3 point its just invisible, and it will fast farm with the drawbar and the jd big plough, dont know about that plough, if your open to fast farming on your lets plays.
You're getting a half-million dollar tractor for seventy grand? Yeah, sounds kosher to me... Ah! An NOS 80s model. Well, that is a good deal. Kind if a shame to be putting hours on that though.
