Stephen mulhern is so funny I love watching catchphrase and in for a penny I remember in a in for a penny Stephen mulhern bumped into Dec s mum that was so good and a remember the time someone broke the buzzer on catchphrase so funny it was 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love Stephen mulhern he's amazing celebrity I hope there's loads more of Stephen mulhern in 2023 let's hope everyone shall we
I love this show my family watch it with me because we really like to guess the catchphrases and my nanny is really good at it she always gets so many of them right i tell her that she should be on this show💕💕💕
I grew up watching catchphrase with Roy Walker, I miss Roy Walker when I see these Episodes, so it would make a lot of sense that I would not like a new presenter. But TBH i have to agree. Surprisingly I really like Stephen, he is realy likable and very good at it. Still miss Roy walker but definitly like Stephen too, so it is good as it means I can watch the newer catchphrases.
This is interesting to watch as someone from the U.S. I have NEVER heard the phrase "chalk and cheese" until just now, and some of the other things are slightly different (i.e. we say "diamond in the rough," not "rough diamond." I don't think I'll ever forget "business butts" though, that was great XD
I just remembered business butts, and came on here looking for it. Your comment helped me find something that nearly made me wet myself years ago. Thanks buddy!
Catchphrase is a con because if you watch very carefully when they hit a square but it lands someone else so their controlling the game not the contestants so in theory is pointless hitting the squares so the game last longer
None of them are catchphrases, they're more expressions as they're sayings that most people would use on a regular basis, whereas 'say what you see' would be a catchphrase.
definition: a well-known sentence or phrase, especially one that is associated with a particular famous person Jennifer and Henry you are both correct actually. A catchphrase can be a thing someone regularly says that is their 'catchphrase' but it can just be a general common saying. common catchphrases: e.g. chalk and cheese = opposites e.g. water under the bridge = let the past be the past e.g cheap as chips = very cheap individual catchphrases: e.g how you doin --> joey in friends e.g ruh roh ---> scooby doo in this game show they also explicitly state that a catchphrase can be a song title or movie
Better try than nothing...there are catchphrases out there that some people have never heard of that they could guess by accident...better to try than stand there doing nothing
It was so obvious that he was going to propose to his girlfriend at the end because he's desperate for attention. Haha, they deserved to get interrupted.
Giving that this is the 2nd comment of mine that you've replied too, you really can't talk about anyone else being desperate for attention, otherwise, you wouldn't have taken the time to answer. I don't need to feel better about my life because, unlike you, I have my eyes open to the world. Oh look, I'm going to spend all night crying my eyes out because you called me a name oh bo-ho bo-ho, please don't insult me, I care so much about what you think of me bo-ho.
Jennifer Kelly Why don't people just stop putting each other down. None of us are perfect, and we shouldn't assume things just from what we see. Jennifer, why even post this comment, what is the point, if you're trying to cause pain, he's probably never going to see this. And to the person that replied, if you think that someone has commented to seek attention in the wrong way, dont give them the satisfaction. I just think that the world could be a better place if we all just got along instead of being spiteful, angry, and even jealous of each other.
I don't know, why don't you ask them? And I posted the original comment because it is my opinion, there is no need to make a proposal so public. I am aware he may not see it and it doesn't matter to me whether he does or not, it isn't designed to do anything other than state what I believe so if it were to get taken out of context then it isn't my problem. Also what a very good point you made there to the other comment, especially as they have replied to another one of my comments which only states a very true point about a subject which I feel passionate about. You're right, the world would be better if everyone just got along but if you think about, it would be a very boring world if we all thought or believed the same and, if someone is polite to me in a comments thread then I am polite back but if they're going to be bitchy then they will get the same attitude.
Jennifer Kelly I don't think that everyone should believe the same things. You go and vouch your opinion to the world, thats's fine, i just feel it's a little unnecessary, thats all. We can all have our different thoughts and beliefs, but when expressing them we should treat each other with respect, not call each other bitchy and explode the discussion wide open
“ WATER UNDER THE FUCKING BRIDGE. “ I got it on soon as I seen the bottle
No talking about that
Got it as soon as I saw part of the bridge
How did you know that

I felt that chalk and cheese one was so hard to get
that was so obvious!
Like a video game tutorial level 😅
21:55 Roy Walker is probably shoutting "That's My Catchphrase!"

I love it too

Ahhh water under the bridge. I was focusing too much on the bottle itself . Grrr 😡😂

I think it means two things that just don't, can't, won't or shouldn't be together.
I just remembered business butts, and came on here looking for it. Your comment helped me find something that nearly made me wet myself years ago.
Thanks buddy!
Diamond in the rough is a British expression (from the time of Shakespeare), but does not mean the same as rough diamond
I live in the States and I love the show.
15:34 I knew the answer/catchphrase for this one after the center panel is removed to reveal the water bottle :D

I can't help but notice that most of these are not actually catch phrases. What the heck does chalk and cheese mean?
Its like being different.

@@jenniferkelly5897 So they are catchphrases then
@@henrymanley4116 No, a catchphrase is something that an individual becomes famous for saying (e.g. "nice to see you, to see you nice.)
