Drill into a wall from below

Example of drilling into the wall cavity, from below in the basement, through the bottom wall plate. Then running a fish tape up to get a cable (120/240 for a licenced outlet or wall switch; low voltage for a curtain controller, LED under cabinet lighting, or security camera; or network cable for a PoE security camera, WiFi access point, or any other network device that needs a connection). If you take accurate measurements and are careful with the drill, this could be done into a door jab to run a doorbell wiring or an alarm contact switch, without damaging the door or molding.
