Bro I learned the hard way that when higher levels of money come into the equation, the deals you get on ANYTHING will ASTOUND YOU. That’s where the sayings “cash is king” & “money talks and BS walks” come from.
@@LoneWolf-p1o ok but how long is it going to take you to look through that many comics? You don’t want to miss something potentially valuable. Also what are you going to do with the rest… just throw them away?! This is a curse and a blessing lot. The return can be fantastic but you’re still going to have to put in real time to fully extract that money.
Wow!!! That is one hell of a collection. I can’t imagine the amount of time it will take to go through every single comic to get them organized and find the more valuable ones. Can’t wait for follow up videos of looking through this collection with you guys. 😎
@macroverse well i cant wait to see it. I. 46 and been collecting most of it. Horror from back then i havet gotten enuff of. I started post code..firtst morbius as an adult buyer. Horror is history. In mosr media. Movies wouldnt even exist without the genre.
I supported that kickstarter when it came out. It’s such a great idea to make a reprint that is close to the real thing. I have a lot of the books in the kickstarter but they are in slabs for their preservation.
I have never heard of that Punch 12 book before. That is an awesome cover. I will def get facsimile when it comes out. Thank you Tom and Guru for the comic lesson.
Will check out those GA facsimiles... I wish Marvel would give the facsimile treatment to their rare '60s comics. I'd much rather have them like that instead of in some glossy oversize omnibus edition.
Any measures in place so these reprints will not be sold as originals? Even if the cover is different, if it is taken off, and the interior is newsprint, and identical, some people might be scammed.
At the point the prices people pay for those old books, if they're not aware of these new reprints and not doing due diligence/research, that's on them.
I wish we have seen more from this collection this looks like a ridiculously awesome collection just to see more of and all the diverse years and books that came out of it
That was a sweet deal you guys got 😊😊🎉 I know a guy in my local area that has a comic book lot like that. His house and 3 storage's and a warehouse full of comics and collectibles. Old vintage comics and action figures plus 😊
Wait, what? You said you paid 20k in shipping and storage and then another 100k in grading. Then you said you paid 350k for the collection. Dors that include the money paid for shipping, storage, and grading meaning you only paid 230k of 66cents a book for the collection. Or is it 350k + 20k + 100k for a total of $470k?
Hey Tom, you like Misfits? I have this Signed Rock & Roll Biographies #17B (Promotional/Recalled) 9.8 CGC SS Signed and sketched by Victor Moya! With Fiend logo! How can I attach a picture? I have the only 2 in the world!!!
This story reminds me of my own. When people would tell me ' your ambition to be pimping other artists ' would never work out. But they didn't realize my true passion ' bolling for pimping ' before the invention of the internet, there was no way. But now my dreams have come true. My site ' bait and tackle, women's apparel, erotica and sports equipment is booming because of my ❤ of pimping 😂
Sooo just a commercial for this kickstarter? Loved your earlier video on the collection. Nice clickbait to try to get people who are interested in your collection to watch your commercial.
@@siguy715 They absolutely do. I just enjoy their videos when they do their short 30-60 second sponsorship and then get back to the main video. Reread the title of the video and let me know if they delivered what the title promised. It was 1/3 of the video talking about a single book they found(very interesting) and then the last 2/3 of the video was their commercial. I’m just saying it doesn’t stand up to the other videos they make. I’m still waiting to see “the best books found.”
Really enjoy this type of content. Been waiting for the 350k collection. Definitely want more of this.
350k $ for 350k comics from 40s to recent years is like a steal. Seriously someone sold this as 1 dollar for 1 book?!

@@ludotoyhunter8492 there is sense in what you're saying but still for me is very low level of thinking
You know how much work is required for selling 350K comics… probably a decade.
@@jameskm03 but you can sell only the first few the most valuable and you are in profit

Would like to see more vids of you guys digging through boxes in that collection!
The Kickstarter looks great. Really enjoyed you guys talking about that collection.
More golden age episodes please.Nothing compares to golden age...IMHO

Who is making the reprints ?
Thank you!

So jealous😅😅😅😅😅...digging is the best part

I went for the flourescent inked covers, just enough to make the original covers to pop on the Kickstarter

Looking forward to seeing some of the other comics, you guys find.
Been waiting on this vid for like a year!
Came for a dig vid and got a kickstarter promo.
I'm all in on those reprints. Can't wait
Thank you!
I'd love to know which books each of you kept for the PC or did you put everything up for sale?
Those 350k are adding the grading and transpirt costs or just the collection?
Is Punch Comics more in the crime genre than horror? Edit: OK, I see you go on to say that.
So the punch #12 paid for most of the comics? pretty amazing find
It's just so sad you used the toxic scam of a company, CGC

Nice job fellas
I only have 20,000 comics...
clickbait for kickstarter campaign - skip the vid
😱😵🤒 ooh gee golly my o my 😂 Kickstarter Here I come 😁🎩
Wow.... legit. thumb's up
So what were the best books found? Punch #12 wonder woman 1 and a few others were all that were mentioned really.
Must be nice.
You didn't even mention the value of those prized comics you found. Thanks, fellas. lol
Hyper realistic facsimiles? Scammers mouths are drooling
Flooding the market
