As a Taiwanese, this is a really cool game that combined Taoism and cyber-punk tech aesthetics. I’m so proud of Red Candle Games , which accurately mixed in so many Taiwanese elements, such as Taiwanese gods, Ritual Music, even the sound effect of attacking and parrying is made by Taoism ritual instruments. Such a cool game. I hope you’re enjoying it!
The background music in the game is awesome, OMG!
The game only gets better and better as you go on. Series or not, you DEFINITELY should be playing it!
This game is peak the story is complex and beutiful also the boss ost is great

Why is the first boss... SO much harder than the second boss? Like the first boss, took at least 20-30 tries. The second boss took 1. She doesn't even have a phase 2. And her pets are super avoidable... The first boss has a lot of final boss vibes.

@@averageyoutubehandle497 uh no the like centaur thing. It's the first boss I encountered and it's sooooooooo much harder than she was.
@@con.x yingzhao? I bullied the guy no prob, idk. Sky rending claw is giving me a bit of trouble but I was fighting it at night, so tired and stuff.
@@averageyoutubehandle497 I didn't have as much trouble with the claw. The first guy was just a massive step up from any mob on the path down to that first guy. It wasn't a learning curve... It was flat and then a brick wall.
@@con.x if it wasn't a learning curve you could have just enabled story mode and went from 25% damage to a 100.
Nine Sols is basically Hollow Knight if it didn't f**k around!

I'd be down for a series.
In terms of 2D hand-drawn animated metroidvanias with an unusual sci-fi/cyberpunk setting, I can recommend Cookie Cutter from late 2023. Solid game, and the lead dev has quite ambitious plans for future updates too.
For now, wish you a lot of fun and good luck with Nine Sols. I found myself surprised with how interested I got in the main story.
Finally Beat 4bc Took Me Over 100 Tries never Felt So Happy.
I was hoping for it to go on sale during steam summer sale. I guess it is too early for that. The game has just come out.
Please finish this after Elden Ring, it's not that long of a game and it's really good

Nine Sols really is an amazing but also very difficult game, the recent updates fixed the map btw, you can now zoom in for a detailled map :)
