He was also awesome as second guitarist and vocalist before Dave Astor left!!!! And his guitar work in Holy Molars was epic as well. He really is my personal hero as a drummer though. Especially his work on this album...it was like grindcore with a ton of flavor. I met him twice. Gabe will live in my heart forever as a musician. Wish I could have hung with the dude instead of just meeting him...but at least I got to do that. I know he was married with at least one kid...my deepest condolences to them. They had a legend in their lives.

I dunno, I Like a lot of Grindcore, Death + black metal, old Hardcore, etc, but I find this kind of shit to be insanely grating. I think its the vocals, I could maybe handle the music itself. At any rate, it sounds like they,re good musicians. And real musical progress comes from exploring the fringes, never from the mainstream. Plus, I saw a pic where they all had matching outfits where they looked like Sleestacks, so they must be excellent. Yes, I know it was probably a locust costume, but it looked like a fuckin' Sleestack (google it kids).

if i should pick, i would say that the vocals are the most awesome thing about the locust. but i do not pick, because i love everything about the locust. well, to each their own. maybe you will get used to the band some day or even get to like them.

Saw these guys with fantomas at the agora ballroom in Cleveland a long time ago..I had went to see fantomas so I had no idea who these guys were..Their set and costumes and sound just blew me away and even though I was a full grown man at the time, it kinda tripped me out..Anyway I was so impressed with their live show that I bought this album at their little merch stand after the show....have been a loyal fan ever since...not for everyone though..haha
