Incredible baby raccoon encounter

- I was fishing Apple Creek close to Wooster Ohio in early June 2017 when i looked down to see 3 baby raccoons trying to climb up my legs. What followed was an incredible encounter that I will never forget. Worth noting that after a little research I've discovered that it is not unusual for baby raccoons to play during the day while their mother sleeps, however I have since discovered that they are in fact orphans however there is a local man who has built them a house and is feeding them until they are old enough to fend for themselves. I had a raccoon as a pet (Daniel "Danny" Coon) when i was a kid. Got it when it was 2 weeks old. The GREATEST pet ive ever had. Followed me everywhere, rode on my 3 wheeler, sat and watched movies and ate popcorn. They r awesome.
Thats it you the baby daddy now, not even Maurys dna test proving you aint the father ganna help you on this one. Take care of those babies!
Very cute little raccoons that like to play with humans-then running back home to mom & dad to tell of their wonderful adventure encounter with some very nice humans that they met while out & exploring things.
I think they are trying to suckle on your ears.

Baby raccoons need to stay with their mother for at least a year so that they can learn how to survive in the wild, so I hope these orphans are trained by the guy who is keeping them to hunt for food and to survive in the wild before he releases them. And he really shouldn't release them until next spring.

There so cuteeeeee. But on Wikipedia it says it’s pretty common for baby raccoons to be alone as there mom is looking for food at the moment. They would stay where they were.

I raise animals at a wildlife center in Michigan. Those baby raccoons are acting like that because they are starving. They are telling you they're hungry and asking for help.

Aw thank you for getting them help. If i had not read the bio i was getting upset you just left them. Poor little guys starving. They most likely are still on milk too at this age. When a wild animal comes to humans so willingly like this, they are desperate for help.

I know exactly where this is because I live a few miles away. I've been down there a few times to attempt to fly-fish but I've never been befriended by anything but mosquitos.

Mom is probably nearby somewhere looking for some food for them all. Like they say "If you care leave them there" they look way too healthy, unless mom just got ran over, to have been on their own.

@ryanexsus Incorrect. mom doesn't look for food during the day. Raccoons are nocturnal and sleep in their dens during this time. Mom is either dead, abandonment or they fell from their den which mom would be there to take them back in.
Movie Jimmy 777 not true. Unfortunately. rabies doesn't have to show itself. And you don't have to be bitten to contract rabies.
