Nolin is turning 34, and I'm beyond blessed to call him mine! I decided to take a walk down memory lane; how we met, a touch of our love story, and also share some of my favorite things about my husband!

Your comment about your weight really touched me so I want to share something that happened to my daughter. She and her husband have been married for almost 20 years (later this month) and she is definitely not the same weight she was when they got married. She has given birth to my 3 grandsons, battled diabetes and other health issues and quite frankly just gotten older. One day recently I noticed that my son-in-law was staring at her and my daughter asked him "what are you staring at?" and he replied "you". She said "why?" and his response: "because you're so beautiful". So when he tells you that you are more beautiful now, believe him. He is seeing not your "outside body" but who you are. Love your videos.

Thank you for this video. I know I'm late to the party. But your story about you and your husband is so like our story. My husband is the most Godly, kind, patient person I've ever met. I tend to be a crazy go getter and he is a hard worker but a lot more laid back. We lost our daughter in 2020 and I had a lot of health issues and dealt with a lot of depression I was told by doctors that I may never be able to have another baby. Even through everything my husband was my steady, safe place. And today we have a beautiful four month old little girl who we are so in love with! He is the very best Dad. God is so faithful even when things are not what we wish them to be. Every time I look into my sweet baby's face I see God's grace and goodness! Thank you for your encouragement. I love watching you parent and I want to tell you that you are doing a great job! Keep up the good work Mama!
This video has got to be one of the most honest, heartfelt story of your life with Nolan. It truly felt like chatting with a friend and baring your true feelings. He seems to be such a good man. You truly are blessed that your beautiful boy seems to have both your and Nolans personalities. Thank you for sharing and I'm praying that your road to feeling less anxious is clear.

I too had the same experience when I met my husband that you did when God whispers to you in that wee small voice saying "you will marry this man" And I did! 37 years of marriage, 3 children two son in laws and 2 beautiful grandsons!
I think she described it as more than a whisper since it was so powerful that her body went weak. I love Jesus and what God does with bringing people together to glorify himself. He is so so good, and greatly to be praised. His hand in his children’s lives is undeniable and beautiful. You are blessed to have a family!
What a beautiful story. Gods hand is evident in every part of your journey. Dont worry about your weight. Your health and being able to eat is more important after what you have been thru. Just make small changes as slow and steady makes progress . Have a wonderful trip. Happy Birthday to Nolan!

What a treasure Nolan is, his parents did a wonderful job raising him to be the man he is, we should all have a Nolan in our lives.
I don't know if this will help or not, but I was struggling this summer to get about 8 pounds off. No matter how little I ate and how much I tried to exercise, it just wouldn't shift. I had been feeling tired and light-headed a bit, but never thought anything of it. It turned out I was low on iron. Apparently your body can't oxidize fat stores when you are low on iron. So losing weight is almost impossible, you just end up running on adrenaline (not good). Anyway, 11 weeks later (taking iron supplements) I feel so much better and in the last 3 weeks lost 3 pounds. Yay!
What I am trying to say is, maybe get your iron levels checked. I was feeling so down and like I wasn't trying hard enough. Now I feel more like myself again. Praise the Lord!

I am a lot like you in nature & health issues. God gave me a man who seemed to understand me, & even when he didn't he'd be patient. He did hard physical labor & yet I can remember him coming home, tossing his keys on the table & pitching in. He passed away but I had a treasure many people never find; I was loved with a deep unconditional love. For that I am eternally grateful. I'm glad that you are grateful for God blessing you with Nolan ☺️.

I enjoyed hearing your story. It made me reminisce about my husband and me. Too had anxiety and asked for a sign.. We've known each other for 29 years married 19. He tells me I'm more beautiful now than when we first started dating. ( I'm over weight have graying hair and wrinkles starting 😒). As we experience life together our love and respect for each other deepens. Keeping the Lord first in our marriage has been what has helped us through the hard times. I love him more now than ever. This was lovely! You are pretty much my favorite YTer. You are beautiful, and I've been so relieved that you haven't changed through the years. A lot of people change when they become more public and it's so comforting to see time after time you being the same and getting better. I feel ya on the weight issue. I had gained so much after four babies......I loathed and hated my body. I often wished I could look pretty like you.....I've started to lose just recently and it is hard to change my mindset now that I'm actually finally looking better. My husband has been very kind as well. You are a blessing. Thanks for sharing your heart so often. You are an inspiration!

Anyway, I met my husband when I was 9, we were best friend(he lived across the street). we married 12 yrs later & have been married 34 yrs. and 1/2 doz. blessing(children later)...

Hey! Its been a while. Good seeing you and your family. Happy birthday to your darling.
I know this was two years ago but I really loved this video and how you are speaking so highly of your husband is so wonderful to hear especially in today’s world. I also liked that you shared about your weight and your autoimmune disease and your weight gain. I’m a lot older than you 64 but I have had a lot of health issues during our 44 years of marriage and I always felt bad because of my health issues I had open heart at 55 and heart attack in 2019 then came down with autoimmune liver disease in 2021 and so been on high doses of prednisone which has caused moon face and weight I weigh more than I have ever in my life so it was so helpful that you shared your autoimmune struggles. We never know how much we can help someone by sharing our own experiences. I love listening to you I have two daughters in their 30’s and it is so good to hear young people with good heads on their shoulders as you and your husband have! God bless

I lost my husband last year and hearing you speak….I was very much the same and so was my husband unconditionally there. You’re blessed! New subscriber was looking for Amish and Mennonite cooking found one of you videos and been watching others.
I loved this. I love your candidness. We have so much in common - I also prayed for confirmation about my husband and asked that he would send me flowers - which I immediately regretted and wondered WHY had I prayed that… because I was living and teaching in Louisiana and he was living and studying in China! But sure enough, not long afterwards, I came home from teaching one day and a box of roses was on my porch! I didn’t even own a vase 😅… so after my shock; I had to run down to the store to buy one and while stopped at a red light, I remember clear as day the Father impressed on my heart “I gave you what you asked for- so don’t doubt any more.” ♥️

As far as the anxiety and not really wanting to go out much, I can actually relate! It can be difficult when confidence is a bit low in how we present physically to others. I hope you are able to draw strength and confidence from how loved you are and all the incredible things you've accomplished! I mean look at this channel, you have 50k subscribers! There are 50k people who think you are someone they'd want to look at and get to know! You are a lovely person and I hope you feel better! Thank you for such a great channel!
