Don't forget. Agent Romanov in the film, but she is known as the Black Widow. A superhero in the comics and her introduction here did her justice. Scarlet was the perfect cast for this character. I'm so glad she stood out for you as she did for us comic readers.
One thing you will notice about Tony. He always learns from his mistakes and upgrades his armor based on what he learns. Never makes the same mistake twice.
5 of my favorite things in this movie: 1. The briefcase suit on the racetrack 2. Need I say more than Natasha Romanoff? 3. The new, triangular Arc reactor 4. Don Cheadle's sass as Rhodey/War Machine 5. All the jokes about Justin Hammer's engineering prowess...or lack, thereof
It's always fun to see people that are not familiar with the comics react to the introduction of Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) in this movie. It always takes them by complete surprise and it's kind of fun to see.
@tktopmovies yes and so much more to come! I'm excited for you both getting to watch them for the First Time. :) It's a great world you are sad to leave. 🥰
The strawberry thing usually goes over people's heads so I'll explain quick. There's one thing in this world that makes Pepper vulnerable, strawberries. And that's exactly how he feels about her. She's the one thing that makes him vulnerable 👌🏽
Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect embodiment of Tony Stark. His attitude, confidence, charisma, and sass. It's uncanny. MARVEL's Iron Man is DC's Batman. They're both Rich Billionaires and philanthropists who are super intelligent and know how to fight. FYI, Robert has been practicing Wing Chun for the past 20 years. He says that this type of Kung Fu has helped him overcome his addictions. You're both great reactors, and I enjoy watching the MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE with you. 👍☮️
Welcome to the introduction of your first MCU sequel! I'll give some context (WITHOUT spoilers) to the characters introduced here that first appeared in the comics. Just to give you two some perspective about how different things can be and because I think it's fun :D - Natasha Romanoff AKA Black Widow: A former Russian assassin, now a trusted SHIELD member. She's one of the most skilled hand-to-hand fighters in the world and goes toe to toe with many other Marvel heroes and is also one of their most famous redheads. There isn't much I can say about her without getting into spoiler territory, so I'll leave it at that. - Ivan Vanko AKA Whiplash: He's kinda of a composite character in this movie actually. Whiplash is a name used by many different villains in the comics, but as far as I can remember, Ivan himself only appeared in an animated show outside of this, on which he was known as another Iron Man super-villain called Crimson Dynamo. They also use bits of Dynamo's character to make Ivan here, so he's a composite of his father, Anton Vanko AKA the original Crimson Dynamo and the writers original character. - Justin Hammer: Meant to be a competitor of Tony Stark, Hammer as given a very nice role and actor for this movie. In the comics he was much older and looked more like Pter Cushing. He usually creates or steals technology to empower other super-villains in the US.
Cool stuff! Not doubting your comics knowledge si I'm that you know down the MCU road a young lady calls her (foster?) Dad the Crimson Dynamo. A tease of sorts? ☮️
I think this movie does strong women well. Both Pepper and Agent Romanoff are powerful in different ways, and they carry themselves and the movie along so well.
no spoilers just some stuffs you asked about natasha romenoff is black widow she's a dangerous assassin more to come of her later in Avengers... also i think you didn't notice when tony was reading his father's notes you should have saw a cube drawn in it which is very important stuff also called as "tesseract" the whole thing tony discovered to make a new element was based on that stark expo project . its a standing tomb for phase 1 of mcu journey

39:29 I can't tell you who because spoilers, but that little boy is actually a younger version of a character we meet properly in the future (retconned by the director of said character's solo movies). Fun fact: this younger version was played by Iron Man director Jon Favreau's (Happy's) son Max.
The MCU movies all, minus one, have post credit scenes, plus many of them have one or more mid-credit scenes. I can't remember what movie was the first one to use mid-credit scenes along with the post credit scene, but I recall there are one or two that have like three or four scenes after the main part of the movie. A few interesting things about Iron man: Being a multilevel genius, Tony is the world's premiere inventor in not just one, but multiple fields of very different science. His metallurgy formula for the armor's protective shell is probably 50-100 years ahead of its time, no one else can replicate its toughness and durability. Then there's his knowledge he learned from his dad on how to build the arc reactor and a miniaturized version of it, a power source so advanced, it's what really sets stark tech apart from everyone else's attempts to build suits that require more power than they can figure out how to build. Then there's Tony's electrical engineering knowledge, and weapons tech, including microprocessors. But, I've always said the most impressive part of Iron Man, that is by far the most advanced tech about it, isn't the metallurgy formula or the weapons, or the miniaturized arc reactor, it's Tony's stand alone knowledge of AI building. I would say that of all the aspects of Iron man that can't be done in real life, Jarvis is the most unrealistic, sci-fy, futuristic, most impressive part of Tony's resume. Jarvis, alone, is extremely brilliant and intuitive, able to banter with people with his own quick wit and sarcasm and perceptive understanding of people's thoughts and feelings, and he often intuits what Tony is about to ask him to do, and Jarvis has already programmed the order in before being asked. He's pretty incredible.
@sersa4179 no, Iron Man 1 was the first to use a post credit scene, but I didn't say post credit, I said mid credit, as in an additional scene during the credits, in addition to the standard post credit scene.

Yeah with Marvel movies its not just 'stick around until you see a credits scene' because there are some movies where its 2+. One time there was over 5 different credit scenes! So best to just scrub ahead and see when one comes around until the full movie is legit over

well done! youre taking a perfect approach to watching these! there are a LOT of callouts for the fans of the comics, but you dont have to have read the comics to appreciate the movies. Vanko's character references a villain known as "whiplash" for example. and in the older comics, his suit was carried in a briefcase. and other have said it, and i agree - tony is always learning. this "suit-in-a-box" is a way to always have some form of iron man ready to go! keep up the great work!
keep up the great reaction guys..just enjoy the journey.. and yes, most of the movies moving forward have 2 credit scenes..1 at mid-credits and 1 at post-credits.. next is Thor..then Captain America: The First Avenger, and concluding Phase 1 is The Avengers..enjoy!!!
Hammer was just blinded by his desire to tap into that Stark billion dollar weapons empire. So well off in life as it was, got greedy, now he's in jail. For Ivan it was jealousy, and now he's dead.

Nice reaction - this movie has a lot of good stuff - tho I feel like the movie sort of changed direction midway - I think this was made around the time Disney acquired the MCU, and it feels like the movie's starting out aiming in a darker direction, with his own self-destructive fears re his condition, plus his unresolved issues w his father then amplified by Vanko's moral challenge - and then, about midway thru, the movie suddenly spins around, and these intriguing wrinkles are suddenly Iron-ed out - like Disney stepped in lol
I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU GUYS! This is such a fun ride! It does get a little repetitive at the start but once it gets going you’ll be hooked. Iron Man 2 I really enjoy but is another that is father down on most people’s list so I am so pumped to see what you think about movies later down the road like the Avengers movies. Or A little movie called Ragnarok ;). And though a lot of them have been sort of middle of the road or let downs the Marvel streaming series like __redacted_, _redacted_, and Moonknight are a lot of fun!! Especially the ones that have a mystery element to them.
11:49 Why did Elon get a cameo? It seems that it was the deal for letting Marvel film the scene 21:05 of Hammer and his "Iron Man Suits" (drones) at SpaceX factory. Even the workers were in the place as extras.
The live action MCU started to differ from the comic books after Tony admitted he was Iron Man because in the comic books Iron Man identity was anonymous. The kid in the Iron Man mask was Peter Parker or the future Spider-Man. When Nick Fury said he had his eye on Tony he meant agent Coulson who is his one good eye or the only person he trusts completely. The reason the Arc reactor was poisoning Tony what due to the fact the Arc reactor was incomplete technology based off earthly means. The new Arc reactor Tony used for his Mark 6 armor is a synthetic element of something called the cosmic cube which hasn't been introduced yet into the MCU. Ivan vanko is a mixture of two of Iron Man's villains one being whiplash and the other being the armor he was wearing at the end of the film AKA the crimson dynamos. Also to note whiplash was not the main villain the main villain was Justin hammer because if it wasn't for Hammer breaking Ivan out of prison then giving him the technology to create the drones Ivan would have been a one-act villain. Which means it was actually pepper who beat the main villain in this movie as well as the first. Not to mention the group who gave Ivan the tickets to Monaco was the same group who kidnapped Tony in the first movie The 10 rings.
Vanko's Father was the one who developed the Arc Reactor with Howard Stark. Fun Fact: The Little boy in the Iron Man mask, who Tony saved from the Droid, was retconned to be a young Peter Parker. Tom Holland did this at a convention, years ago.
One thing to note going for it in the MCU Tony never changes he only evolves on his outlook on life and what he leave behind that defines his legacy. Which is still about his ego. There are other better characters going forward you will going forward you we'll watch then see the difference between change and evolving AKA adapting to new circumstances.

Hey guys! I'm a bit behind on your MCU journey so I'm catching up. I gotta say, this movie is one of my least favorite Marvel films. Of the 33 films that have been released, this one ranks pretty close to the bottom. Still, I'm looking forward to your reaction and getting your take on it. 😊
Justin Hammer is the Gilderoy Lockhart of the MCU. There are a few things I find disturbingly weird about this movie: The government and SHIELD actions. If you invent something, the government can't just force you to hand it over to them. They can't just come into your house and take your property by force. That's called a home invasion robbery, and Tony would have been fully legally justified to use force to stop them, including using his Ironman suits, and including killing them in the defense of his home and property. Likewise, they can't just place someone under house arrest without a criminal conviction. Here, there was no criminal conviction, nor even charges filed or an arrest made. No due process at all. And Agent Coulson threatens Tony with violence if he tries to leave. Tony would have been perfectly justified to forcibly eject Coulson, Fury, and any other SHIELD agents from his house. It seems the writers of this movie don't understand the concept of civil rights or the Constitution. And the same goes for the first IM movie, where in the credit scene, Fury breaks into Tony's house and tampers with his security system. That's called breaking and entering, and it's a crime. And apparently done all to tell Tony about the Avenger Initiative. Do they not have telephones or postal service at the SHIELD offices? Email? Express delivery services? Politely walk up to his house and ring the doorbell? Then in the Hulk movie, we see the SHIELD logo - they're working with General Ross to apprehend Banner. And they conduct a military operation in a foreign country (an act of war) which resulted in civilian casualties and massive property damage. And then another military operation on a college campus - luckily, no civilian casualties that time, but a lot of military casualties, and more property damage. All highly illegal and unconstitutional.
@@colleenross8752 I do not consider observing and respecting human rights to be "nitpicking". If a cop came into your house and threatened to tase you if you didn't obey him, would you consider that a "joke"? The purpose of movies like this is to illustrate the struggle between good and evil. If the people that are supposed to be the good guys do things that are evil, that's a problem.
Why are all redoing this? Been watching all for a while. This is not new for you... alot of the movies you've posted lately are old.. but ur saying they're new? Why

Good points hahaha!!
I believe Phil's threat was meant to be a joke.
And , the purpose of movies like this one is to escape reality, not to be nitpicked to death
🔥
Thanks for watching!!!

Too many people in the comments have big mouths. I hope you have an editor to block them for you. You should definitely have someone to screen them.
Why are all redoing this? Been watching all for a while. This is not new for you... alot of the movies you've posted lately are old.. but ur saying they're new? Why
this movie is just a waste of time, for those who made it and for those who watch it
That comment was a waste of time
