Only complaint i have with all these new crops in FS is that they only give us these massive expensive machines to harvest them - where are the trailed and smaller self propelled spinach harvesters? They exists irl and it would be a much more satisfying progression
I'm definitely not complaining but every time I open up youtube I see a new episode in this series then realise that there is actually two more to watch.
Since you were talking about getting into cement: There are other solutions than the industrial-scale factories now. Little farm-sized production places that have a small footprint and can be fit into lots of small nooks and crannies. And they are all affordable and around 30k, so with a bit of stretching you should be able to get them now. I think they produce more slowly, but that might be just fine since you only have a few small fields to feed them anyway. Something worth considering.
Long grain rice needs to be flooded after the first growing cycle (second month). You’re all good, just don’t wait till the third month or it’ll die. If all else fails just check the pump, it will tell you when the field needs flooding. 😊
The Weeder vs. Herbizide. The sprayer do actually remove the weed, but you also loose some crops. I don't remember the % you loose (in FS22) The weeder is just removing the weed, no crop loss. Also no extra expence to herbizide. The field says you get a 65% yeild, thats with weed, and no rolling etc. So it's a loss of app 35%... Weed control is rather important.
true.. using the weeder early is the key, no need to spray anything with nasty chemicals... u should get a bonus for bio products, then ppl would think twice before they go for a sprayer... it's really disgusting that most players i watch never waste any thought about the negatives of using chemicals.. should kill your bees and your dog.. ppl would learn how bad that stuff is..
Dagger is you ever see this comment I found your channel 4 days ago and I have binged the entire survival multiplayer series from fs22, your new co-op with chainsaw the whole thing so far and now starting on this your videos are so addicting keep it up man your doing something right
hey dagwin when you cut the head land for harvest irl youll do enough laps to comfortably turn the equipment around before entering a pattern then when working the field you would work the body of the field and the go around the headland to clean up the edges
The sound of your footsteps squelching whilst you were flooding the paddy fields was pretty good against the dry crisp sound of when you stepped on the grass next to it, honestly the more i watch your videos on this game i can't wait to start doing videos on my channel, love your content.
Well, Mister Daggerwin, you've got me hooked on this series! might have to consider getting the game myself. you are a staple of the online community. for your efforts and dedication towards your community at large... i dub thee, Sir Daggerwin, Knight of the Farming Simulator genre!
You really made me want to play again! I skipped FS22 after trying it for a few hours. I was seriously hooked on FS19 but somehow FS22 lost its edge. Now with build in GPS and other features and expensions I really look forward to playing again! Daggerwin, thank you for keeping the FS spirit going!
Loving the vids, ive played fs since disc in 2011, one day will get 2025 was hoping to pre-order but single dad aha, unfortunate priorities call before, least i have your great vids so i dont feel like im missing out ahaha 🤣 keep it up 😊
I think you were supposed to add an actual application of fertilizer to the long grain rice fields. They are showing only 50% fertilized. So it looks like you basically get the first application free when you seed it. Not sure obviously but that's what it looked like
I thought exactly this. He got the first application as soon as he harvested the previous crop of regular rice. Therefore, he hasn't actually fertilised them yet?
I worked at oxbo and build these machines! So nice they are in the game now. I really hope they will at the potato harvesters to, they are by far my most favorite machines!!🙏
FYI if you press ctrl-tab you cycle backwards through vehicles (in FS22 at least). Saves going through them all when you only need to go back one. Really glad to check this out by watching you play. I'm less on the fence after seeing your experience of this series. Will keep watching for now though. Thanks Daggerwin!
Hey daggerwin I’m a Long grain rice farmer in southeast Texas and I love that they added my crop to fs 25 and I will only do long grain rice in my play through
Yes I’m definitely going to say 110% go for the decision to make that land which your drilling oats in as your potential future farm yard extension and build animal buildings on there You could potentially make even more money from the goats bye selling goat milk or if it is possible in FS 25 you could consider a cheese factory production to make goats cheese from the milk maybe and then look at selling goats cheese productions as well just ideas I had that could work for this series I think the spinach harvester is amazing it was fun watching the new crop type spinach being harvested and seeing you use the oxbo spinach harvester in action ❤️
Good timing, just finished last episode, loving this series and the game. Can’t wait to play this myself especially looking forward to to seeing animals and the new grazing system. Cant wait for more great content Daggerwin ❤
This is a great preview, thanks very much, I already had it on preorder, but your videos have made me sure it was a good idea! Also really liking the longer videos, I know it must be a lot of work so not expecting it to last forever, but figured you may appreciate the feedback :)
feels like dagger is the bob ross under the simulator youtubers hahaha. ''oh i'll probably crash anyway, not big of a deal. just a happy little accident.''
Farming has always been hard. Sixty years ago, my neighbor lost his leg, half his jaw and an eye, dying 3 times on the way to the hospital, but the EMTs massaged his heart through the opening in his chest to bring him back to life. Nice guy, but had a wicked grin when it was cold.
I really wish they would give us more vehicle specs to work with. Horse power isn't really the greatest yardstick when it comes to a vehicles capabilities, especially without any torque numbers. the Merlo i feel is a great example of this, while it's more powerful and lighter than the white tractor, I find it struggles just a tiny bit more on uphill. that being said it is still an amazing vehicle to invest in right out of the gate, it does so many jobs that i find myself always in it and never able to justify buying more specialized kit like skid loaders. you lucked out to get one on sale
New to farm sim and have been playing along in my own save as you have been. At the part where you were trying to get the narrow tired on the spreader because you couldn’t use it on your crops without destroying them I managed to get the $74,000 one in the discount section for $29,000 😅
I saw somebody actually backed their water trailer up to that floodwater and they were able to fill it and it still kept going and did the rice really well. You might want to just do that and it would save you time running to the large water source.
At 14:07 it is not a loophole that much a bigger loophole is placing a small Ricefield and filling it with water and getting the water from that for absolutely nothing and it’s right on your farm
13:18 is it just me who thinks you should be able to get water to use in the mushroom greenhouse from the water outlet that is used to flood the rice fields? It's clear that the water outlet is plumbed into a main water line to flood the field so why wouldn't you be able to attach a hose to that when required and fill a water tank to use elsewhere?
I would seriously consider selling that little 3 wheeler truck. Don't think it will get you enough for a tractor but it doesn't seem like it has many uses anywho.
Not a bad looking map but probably not for me. I'll definitely be doing Riverbend. Seems like there might be more to do on that map. You have the playground to fix, the grain mill for the museum, the wagons, tractors, building houses. Might be the same on this map but from what I've seen in your 5 vids it's a pass. Not to mention I don't really care for where you bring all the veggies and stuff to the entrance downtown. Seems kind of cheesy. Lol
Oxbo have a factory near me and I’ve been for a tour! The harvesters that work on the big hills up north are crazy, the cabs can self level up to like 30 degrees
Daggerwin stopping short of mentioning the dumb Agricultural Property Relief changes. Thanks for keeping these videos relaxed and apolitical - no matter how annoyed I am by our friendly neighbourhood government..
@26:15 Pretty sure the Bredal K105 don't have narrow tires. I've never seen a K series with that fitted. The F8 and F10 sure can, and maybe the smaller K45 and K62/65. What the devs do or have done is a different matter...
In the 1950s on our farm we had water plumbed in everywhere. Even every field trough had fresh water connections which worked on a ball float valve. This does not seem to have reached FS yet . It cant be hard to just have water in the meadow troughs. Taking the tanker to the river is so naff.
It is a thing in FS as well. He could purchase a water storage to place on his farm, which would be plumbed into the main water supply for on demand water access. However, you have to pay the city for use of their water, so it's not free. Using the sea water, or river runoff is free water, which is why he's using that for now while he's still not got a ton of funds
I wish they would add a progress bar for field work such as fertilizer application to let you know when you are done, similar to the contact ones. At least for the fields where you cant see clearly what has been done and what hasnt.
Only complaint i have with all these new crops in FS is that they only give us these massive expensive machines to harvest them - where are the trailed and smaller self propelled spinach harvesters? They exists irl and it would be a much more satisfying progression
This is where the modders community comes handy...! - To be honest, the modders got their hands full already! ..sooo much gab to fill out!!!
They're so niche. Especially early its hard to justify that much money to rent one and no way you're going to buy one.
@ exactly yeah
Hopefully modded ones will come soon
to my knowledge these are the only models oxbo makes for these crops they will maybe change a bit but I dont think they sell smaller ones.
I'm definitely not complaining but every time I open up youtube I see a new episode in this series then realise that there is actually two more to watch.
Dagger you are allowed sleep you know. I can't keep up with videos😂
Haha
How this commen is 6h ago and the video is 30 min ago as from now when im writing lol, keep it up Dagger, love it
Everyone that commented so far have like this vidieo at the point of my viewing
@@DaggerwinI cant get enough of this series…sleep is for losers 😉. Thanks for all your work 🎉

You should check if you can fill up you water trailer with water from the rice paddy water pumps??
There is no fill sign, so I guess would not work. If so, that it is definitely an overlook by Giants.
You can fill up in a flooded field
You sure can

Goes to bed at 2:30pm... 😅
And waking up at 8am.😅
Thank you for the village tour, it is so beautiful
Daggerwin you can upgrade the white tractor and make it have a bigger engine!
He covered that at 29:00, said he'll just replace anyway

"Beat the devil" out of this tractor XD oh man i miss bob ross lol
Keep up the hard work mate! We all love it! Cant wait to play myself.
I feel like transitioning into construction in farming simulator would be a super fun thing to see how good they did in this game lol
And been enjoying the vids! Keep em coming while rest of us wait for the release!
At the beginning you turned with the drill in the ground and it swirled , nice feature and more realistic
I really can't wait for this game it looks really good
Keep up the great work on your videos
I like that they added the sloshing footsteps when walking through the partiality flooded fields.

More, give me MOOOOORE. I expect ep 20 by monday. Loving fs 25 so far
Daggerwin PLEASE go to sleep! You’ve been playing FS25 non stop for days!
😂😂😂😂
Probably been sleeping its probably 6h of playing straight and recording and another 5h editing
Not as bad as you would think. Gold partners have had the game since Tuesday 👍
Sooo happy hahah, before i got on my plane I watched ep 4. Was already hoping 5 would be out when i landed
Like your video and your farm

The dulcet tones of Daggerwin help put my baby to bed.
Should try and fill your water tank from paddy fields? Since they have water in.
Worth a go
You have one big tree next to the rice harvest building . You can cut down for some extra cash 👍
I saw somebody actually backed their water trailer up to that floodwater and they were able to fill it and it still kept going and did the rice really well. You might want to just do that and it would save you time running to the large water source.

just finished episode 4. Perfect timing :)))
The productions also come in “small versions” for your farm. So you don’t have to buy the huge saw mill on the map. Place a mini one of your oroperty
34:00 thought that was funny haha
Good idea daggerwin😊
it seems everytime i take my mandatory 2 hours brak from my pc, when i come back theres a new Daggerwin vid! Life is awesome rn
I would seriously consider selling that little 3 wheeler truck. Don't think it will get you enough for a tractor but it doesn't seem like it has many uses anywho.
Daggerwin @20:16 at the back of the restaurant on a skid there might be a collectable.
Noticed that too! Would be good if collectibles were included again.
Wow Ep 5 i went to bed and now we are hire i am at ep 3 trying my hartest to keep up 😅
Not a bad looking map but probably not for me. I'll definitely be doing Riverbend. Seems like there might be more to do on that map.

little field would be great for sheds
See if you can fill the water tanker up in the paddie fields :D
Need to start going live maynnnn, might make me more likely to press Join on the channel 👀😋 keep it up I NEED MOREEEE
Oxbo have a factory near me and I’ve been for a tour! The harvesters that work on the big hills up north are crazy, the cabs can self level up to like 30 degrees
God I wanna see you build that shed (and buy a new green tractor :) )
Dagger i love this
Move the house and things across the road and use the current yard as a large yard
Sell the rice harvester. Since you're doing long grain, you don't need it. You can buy it back when you're rich.
You should put down a honey spawn point you have bees next to your wheat field
I was just waiting to see that you forgot about flooding the rice 🤣
It's accurate that you have to go far to get enough trees. Just check out the map, the land doesn't cost to much either
39:45 a loan with this UK government wouldn't be worth it🤣really feel for farmers today hope something good comes of the 19th
Just downloading the pre-order right now 🎉
Just a question daggerwin you turn tornados on or off in the settings menu
the debris crusher gives you stone to put in cement factory
Small amount of water for greenhouse? Expensive. Flooding 3 entire rice paddies? Free.
The garage shed is for like chain saws and stuff you can set them down
Hallo Daggerwin I'm from Indonesia and yes Hutan Pantai means Jungle Beach in indonesia language.
Field and the ground is on same level water should overflow 😂
Daggerwin stopping short of mentioning the dumb Agricultural Property Relief changes. Thanks for keeping these videos relaxed and apolitical - no matter how annoyed I am by our friendly neighbourhood government..
Popeye will be pleased with your canned spinach. "I'm strong to the finish 'cause I eats me spinach."

What the devs do or have done is a different matter...
The game should make that if you use sea water your entire crop ends up dying.
Why are there multiple comments by bots...
They're wild lmao😂
Bots is going crazy!

you have probably already done the yard extension lol. ht i think u should split the field in half so u have a yard and a really small field
Looks like you get a level of fertilizer when you harvest the rice so you might try and see if you can do the second application
Look at the water trailer when there no water in it driving it Bounce around a little bit and when it water in there it calm down
Great series, your farmer gets more sleep than you probably😅 Why not use other greenhouse to sell rice saplings
I really hope the devs add soybeans back to the drills. Completely game breaking if you're forced to use a planter.
lads my god dag loves the new game the videos hes getting out are mad
bros cooking
Heard about dynamic pastures, do you need to plant grass seed to feed your animals in the yard extension?
When do we start to see mods being released? Can’t quite remember
After the game release.
When giants update there editor for modders and after the game is released as there is 1 mod already on it by giants software
@@TMUSHET2025the new editor is available for some afaik but how the answer to this isnt obvious is beyond me
11:40 He starts the tractor then walks away
16:24 he returns
I wish they would add a progress bar for field work such as fertilizer application to let you know when you are done, similar to the contact ones. At least for the fields where you cant see clearly what has been done and what hasnt.
Interesting mod idea
❤❤
You can fill your water bowser from your flooded paddy fields.
You should start from the other side to get a one run fertiliser
just make a rice field (small) and flood it, then you have free water! just for 1500 for free water
