What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current (non-scientific) name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering and personal attention.
My videos are not only meant to help induce ASMR or "tingles", but also help provide a relaxing, calming and soothing experience for the viewer while helping to relieve their anxiety relief, stress relief, insomnia relief, to help those suffering with PTSD or depression, to serve as a study aid and much more.

This game is full of blaring lights, killer aliens, loud noises, jump scares, and bloody death scenes. Ephemeral Rift is the only man to ever live who could make this game relaxing and make me want to go to sleep.
ASMR actually stands for "AHHHHHH SHIT MAN RUN!!!"
Hey ER, the Alien itself is programmed to be unpredictable. It won't really have any patterns or circuits, so it could be doing something completely different each time. If you can't see it in the room or hear footsteps, it's most likely inside the vents above you, giving you some ample time to hack open a door or activate a generator, etc.
I'd recommend you play on Easy or Medium your first time through the game, but also try and see whether it's on the floor or in the vents and you can adjust your approach accordingly. It makes a specific noise when exiting or entering a vent, so you should be able to tell what's going on after a few tries.
For when the Alien is close to you, try breaking line of sight by moving around cover. It can see you hiding in the dark, so your best bet is to make sure you're behind something or under a desk.
Keep checking your map if you get confused as to where to go, exclamation points, green circles, and large circled areas are the places you need to be going. The green bar that moves around the edge of your motion tracker is the thing that points to your objective also. Hopefully some of these tips have helped you out!

I won't timestamp the alien bit (don't want to ruin it for anyone) but I think I peed myself a little when your character was hiding under the desk, the music always makes me freak out more!

Hard is not the recommended play through of the game. I'd say medium or easy. I beat it on hard which seemed like it took a Millenium because of frequent deaths. I stayed the whole game crouched unless I had to sprint somewhere. Excellent story though and cool tie between movie franchise. Ending is...well I'll let you find out. Lots of cool things lead up to the end though.
