- For the Alternating Backwards Stepping Lunge begin with your feet hip distant. Step one leg back and try to keep your back heel lifted. Bend both knees going as low as you comfortably can. Straighten your legs and then step your back leg forward to starting position. Repeat on the other side. Try to maintain your balance, keep your core engaged and posture tall.
