I agree about the feel of the Dior lip maximiser! It’s currently the only traditional gloss in my collection, but I might have to check out the Charlotte Tilbury ones now that there are new shades! Great video as always, Matilda 🥰

I’m really intrigued by the Dior Maximizer gloss, but I’m wondering if it will provide me with enough pigment? Beautiful job and highly entertaining video, Matilda! I’d suggest a deep dive into blush - particularly creams and liquids.
I remember back when you never used to wear glosses. 😊 How far you've come. My current faves are Fenty Gloss Bomb and the Elf glossy lip stain. Had to remove the stopper from the Elf one already because I used it so much. 😅

Back in the days, I was all about Lancome juice tubes, I know that they were re release but haven't bought them, I am obsessed with Dior oils and clarins ones, great vid as usual!

Unfortunately I usually follow the northern hemisphere with my seasonal edits because that's where most of my viewers are (but having said that, I haven't filmed one in a long time! The year has been racing by). But I'm sure my Instagram will start brightening up with some summery product picks soon Nab! 😄☀️ x
My daily go-to gloss is still the Clarins natural lip perfector in intense smoky rose. I'm trying really hard not to buy any more lipglosses but the selection is huge these days-- temptation all around!
I was a big fan of that formula many years ago, and that shade sounds looovely! Going on the hunt for it tomorrow 😂 x

Loveee a gloss. The best gloss ever, IMO, was from a 2015 bareMinerals limited collection and it was called “Cream Glaze Lip Topcoat” and it was a milky off white that toned down the natural pinkness of my lips and was minty and sticky in the best way.

I have a recommendation for you that I think you’d really love! It’s the SUQQU comfort lip fluid glow in 07 but they’re all really pretty colours! I think you’d like the texture of it😳

You should check out the kiko glosses! They're quite affordable and seem like a better alternative for the glossier. I use the clear one all the time over a lip tint or some liner - they hug the lips so nicely and sink in throughout the day to leave them looking and feeling super supple and moisturised 💋

Thanks so much for this fun series, lady! You're going to make me dip my toe into the Chanel pool one of these days (though I think it'll be with one of your blotted lip suggestions)! Question: have you ever had any Charlotte Tilbury shades pull orange on you? I've never read anyone of else having this problem, but there have been a few I've bought blind and had to return because... strangely orange!
Do you perhaps have cool-toned skin? I have had the same problem with Mac lip pencils. Shades like Whirl are continually described as being rosy nudes, but when I apply them they are straight up orange. My daughter has warm-toned skin and it's always interesting to see how differently the same shade looks on her.
Sadly we seem to have proceeded straight from decades of nude obsession into brown; I have to shop from Korea to get any appreciable variety in cool-toned makeup.

@@matildaonvideo I think the chief offender was Stoned Rose, but Wedding Belles and even original Pillow Talk pull orange-y for me! So it happens across all the formulas. I kept In Love with Olivia even though it does the same thing, because it does it in a peachy way I liked, haha. It's the strangest thing! I've had as many successes as misses with CT, though, so I still go back to the brand for reds and bright pinks. x

I'm still struggling to figure out my undertone a lot of the time, to be honest, but I know my mom is much warmer than I am and can really rock those rosy shades that look orangey on me. Pillow Talk is really beautiful on her! And yet I loooove a beautiful peachy tone on my own face, go figure. ;) I'm so glad that someone else struggles with this kind of thing! xx

Lip plumpers are great!
Don't worry, I don't use lip plumpers either so there's no real plumping effect or sensation in any of these! If your lips are very sensitive, you might notice a tiny tingle with the Dior Lip Maximizer or Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath because of the peppermint flavour, but that's it. 'Plumping' just means they look smooth because of the shine ✨ x
Ooh I love how Chanel’s 716 Caramel looks! Would be interested in how you think this compares against Bobbi Brown’s Force of Nature, a favourite of mine (and one I discovered from this channel)!

Channel rouge Coco gloss has been a staple in my bag for so long! The pigment definitely is bold and there to stay with a nice hydrating formula. I love that you enjoy it too!

I always love how glosses look, but anything liquid holds sooo much product and are harder for me to put on on-the-go. I think I just have to stick too super shiny stick balms.
Covergirl back in the day had a lipgloss range named "WetSlicks AmazeMint" that they partnered with Crest for (the toothpaste brand) and they launched around 10 shades, with the same peppermint feel to it like the Dior lipgloss. They did very well, but for some reason Covergirl eventually discontinued them. My theory is that the Dior lipgloss is inspired by that. Its too similar to be a coincidence! xx

I wonder how any of these compare with maybelline lifter gloss - the best I’ve ever tried
I bought a Lifter gloss a while ago but the scent was too strong for me so I don't use it very often 😔 I'd say that texture is much thinner than these, so it could've been a better fit in my Comfortable Gloss episode x
The scent of the Lifter glosses pretty well kills the product for me, too. I get salted caramel. Anyone else?
@@matildaonvideo oh no! ☹️I don’t remember there being a scent.. this was the only lip product that i panned EVER. It moisturized my lips during canadian winter and left it supple and soft. It will always have my heart . And it’s tacky without being atrocious.
However, i can see why fragrance can be off-putting for some. I have glossier gen g and the scent is yuk.

I do. I don’t use make up often, so it’s a complete waste for me to toss make up that I only used for yearly special occasion.
Yes, absolutely! I don't follow expiry dates at all. I just try to keep products clean and be hygienic, and if it still looks / smells / performs the same, I keep it! 👍 x
