Sebastian Stan and Anthonie Mackie became hysterically close friends when they were paired together for interviews during the press tour for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The videos are on UA-cam, and are gosh darn hilarious. The chemistry they displayed is what led to their funny scenes in Captain America: Civil War, and ultimately led to this series getting made.
He doesn’t want to be Captain America, and his name is LITERALLY Uncle Sam!
"Who's this Wal-Mart looking dude?"
I actually laughed out loud. That was amazing.
Yes, that was priceless! 😂
"Who's this Walmart lookin' dude!!? Lol 😂😂
P.S. John Walker is played by Wyatt Russell, son of the phenomenal Kurt Russell, who played Ego in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Steve did infact use a gun in The First Avenger
Cap has also carried a pistol in the comics, and in Marvel vs Capcom, and toys, etc.
Yes Cap used a gun during WW2. But he doesn't carry one in the modern day. He did pick up a gun briefly during the helicarrier attack in the Avengers.
He also used one in Avengers
Ok ok ok I get it haha
@@CristyReacts 😃😘
Cristy- ya gotta remember Captain America isn't a title or identity Steve Rogers created for himself like Batman. It's an identity created by the US military and Steve was chosen for it. So with Steve gone, the government is free to assign someone else. It would definitely be disrespectful to Steve's legacy, but what else is new.
In the comics, Walker was a different superhero called Super-Patriot who became the new Captain America when Steve Rogers relenquished the title. The situation was similar to the MCU's Civil War- new legislation would have required Steve to work directly for the govermnent, so he resigned instead.
Oh interesting! Thanks for sharing. Makes sense
Wow, you actually remembered Zemo. All other reactors are left confused by that ending.
Whoever edited this video has a good sense of flow. They understand how to use the silences to give scenes the correct rhythm.
Absolutely love seeing other people enjoy the shows as much as the comic nerds do 🙌🏼
This is my favorite of the Marvel series. The chemistry between Bucky and Falcon is very much like Riggs and Murtaugh from the Lethal Weapon movies I feel like. Walker was a good soldier, he did all the things and does seem to care, but he also has an ego, which Steve didn't have. And that is what causes the problems.
I agree. I even liked the collar with Zemo and I enjoyed his character here.
John Walker is a character from the comics that was created around 40 or so years ago and at some point because Captain America. Marvel is just reimagining that story arc into the MCUs canon. Just continue watching and enjoy the twist and turns.
John Walker is played by Wyatt Russell, son of Kurt Russell (Ego).
I like how Bucky and Sam play off each other. We seen some of that in the civil war film.
Steve, Bucky, Sam, Walker, Lemar (or Battlestar) and Rhodey are all soldiers. Fury, Natasha, Clint and Maria Hill are spies. It's actually surprising they don't use guns more. Even the Guardians use guns.
Keep in mind Walker is a decorated soldier. The Medal of Honor is the highest honor possible for a military member, and he has three of them.
Steve Rogers use a gun in the first Captain America movie and the first avengers movie. Sam Wilson also used guns in the second Captain America movie and the Ant-Man movie.
"Why do I dislike him so much?"
It was Marvel's goal for you to dislike John... and based on every reaction of have watched of this show, they did their job very well :D
You're so much fun. Oh, by the way, yes, Captain America used guns. Mostly in the time before he was frozen.
Thank you for hanging out!!🤩
This show needed more episodes. It felt like they had too many plot ideas and they were all good, but we didn't get enough of Sam and Bucky together because there was no time.
I agree! I would’ve been cool with a few more episodes maybe explaining who is Val and what’s up with Sharon. 😩😩
It was shot during covid and had a subplot about a virus that they had to scrap, so the series feels a bit janky. Could gave used more explanation about the flag smashers and their goals. Still a good series though.
Steve used a gun during WWII. Rewatch the montage when he first assembled the Howling Commandos.
me: watches cristy cry during endgame
cristy during FAWS: this is too real
me: subscribes forever
this is why i think its the best show it brought a real situation in every episode.
I always love the editing of these videos!!! Shout out to Cristy's incredible helpers and business partners!!! 😎💞
You don't remember Batroc ? He was that french guy who fought Steve at the beginning of Captain America: The Winter Soldier when they were rescuing the agents in that ship
No on remembers him until rewatch of winter soldier.
@@elliott2501wrong I remembered him and lots more
“The way out of the way” and “the hell out of the hell” 😂😂😂 I love your reactions
You saying that you don't know about the being early or late thing tells me you are late alot😂 love your channel
😅😅😅
Here are some fun facts about this series. The flag smasher was one character who was one of Captain America villains. The MCU turn the idea of flag smasher into an organization. The thing about the MCU it has revisionist history about its characters. Like Tony Stark it seemed like he was the greatest hero of all time but in fact he was still the same douchebag he was in the first movie it was just for the right reasons. Tony help whoever was on his team with equipment food and housing in The avengers complex but he never gave them a dime of cash. He never liked anyone to hand him things so he never gave anyone anything. When Tony offered Spider-Man and shot at MIT he didn't give him money for MIT he only said he got contacts at MIT. Also you can't forget that caps team from civil war where fugitive for 2 years before the 5 year blip time skip.
"Did I write this show?" hahaha. You're hilarious. Love watching shows/movies with your reactions.
The "Walmart lookin' dude" is the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. Half-brother to Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson. I'm pretty sure he didn't come from Walmart, but I can understand with his earned decorations, why he was chosen. Just keep in mind when Dr. Erskine (Stanley Tucci) talked with Steve about the serum enhancing what you already are. Steve had not really been a soldier yet, hadn't been in the field. John has, so he is tuned to fighting for his life. He has a harder shell than Steve.
Its ok to call Falcon a sidekick. Thats what he is and was from the begging. Nothing wrong with that. So is Bucky. So is every Robin, etc
It's all good
Unpopular opinion, this Is my favorite mcu show
I liked a lot of things about this series too, I just wish they have left out the cringy race baiting bits like the obligatory "racist cops" scene. Scenes like that strongly disrupted the flow of the series and cost them a large part of their viewership, which is unfortunate.
@@Ranger1PresentsVirtualRealms Apparently, you haven't figured out Disney's agenda. They're taking it in the shorts, or more accurately, in the box office and bank account for that agenda.
It's an excellent show, and I liked it. I had better feelings for Hawkeye, because I like the characters so much. They're both excellent!
Errrm, well Chad, since I had already pointed out everything you just posted apparently I HAVE figured out Disney's agenda... which is why I made the post to begin with. 🤔🤔
Can't believe this came out 3 years ago, feels like yesterday
I really love you and your reactions Christy. Your bright, fun, and humorous style makes rewatching shows like these a lot of fun. I liked this series more than I thought I would. I think you will enjoy this too.thanks for the great content.
Aw thanks for this lovely comment! And thanks for being part of this journey with me ❤️
I love that framed photo of the DiMeo (Soprano) family btw. Mitica compagno 👌
Favorite Marvel show incoming!
Captain America did use a gun in the first movie during World War Two
Side note: Wyatt Russell (the "new" Captain America) is the son of another MCU actor, Kurt Russell.
In the Avengers comic during the 80's Jarvis mentions to a new member named Tigra that she'll recieve a one thousand dollar stipend a month from Tony Stark as do all the Avengers.
25:24 in the first captain america movie he did yeah
This is my 2nd Favorite show right behind MOON KNIGHT. 💖😀
Finally someone else whose favourite MCU series is Moon Knight😫 My people!!
@@jackiechan9928 Moon Knight was top tier on so many levels & also Oscar Isaac is my celebrity crush... So I'm a little biased. 😉😀😆😂
Steve Rogers did use a gun in the first film, he had a pistol during WWII.
And he briefly used a rifle he took from a bad guy in the first Avengers movie.
But other than that, no he never used guns.
#SamWilsonIsMyCaptainAmerica
Steve Rogers was a soldier as Captain America so of course he used a gun he had a handgun that was part of his uniform in his first movie and he used a rifle during the fight on the carrier in the first Avengers
Do you edit your own videos? Whoever edits them, kudos. I love your commentary, but the editing makes me lol.
I don’t do the edit but I have a great team with great sense of humor 😂 cracks me up too!
The number one movie we need to see you react to with the most shocking ending is The Mist.
Christy in the comics battlestar actually became captain America
I really love this series, and I have no doubt that you will have a lot of fun with it, especially when you get to the last two episodes. The dynamic between Bucky and Sam is just... glorious. It only improves as the show goes on. Also Steve: America's Ass. Walker: America's Asshole. Just saying.
Hi Cristy!😊 Fake Captain America is played by Wyatt Russell, the real life son of actors Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. Yep, if you miss court ordered therapy they can put out a warrant for your arrest. It is like violating the terms of your probation. Great reactions to your first two episodes of The Falcone and the Winter Soldier, Cristy!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏 Follow your instincts.😉
Ahh thank you! new episodes coming next week!
It is in fact a violation of Bucky's probation. Drug offenders have similar requirements for random testing.
Steve Rogers absolutely has used guns. Quite a lot in the first movie, and I'm pretty sure he's used them in other movies as well, although not as much.
They really did pull from a LOT of sources in this show.
thank you for your enthusiastic reaction :)
Thanks for watching along bob 🤩
@@CristyReacts i love you, you are such a sweetheart :)
So are you! I love reading your comments on my videos🥰
Karli and the Flag Smashers don't want half the people gone again, they have a problem with how the world governments treated the people who stayed as opposed to the people who were blipped that came back. Basically, like Thanos said (and I'm not saying he was right) when half the population was blipped, there was enough resources for everyone and people came together to help everyone out. Probably because of the massive shared trauma. But, there were less border disputes and there was food and housing enough for everyone. So, there were a lot of people that came to see that as better. It's not so much about not wanting the people back, but just how things changed for many of them was for the better, economically and with less division amongst the population. Then everyone comes back and the governments, the GRC, kick all the people out of the homes they'd made for 5 years so that the previous owners could go back home. Not an easy situation for those in charge, but you can see how that would piss a LOT of people off since now they'd be homeless and then back to struggling for food, labeled as refugees. This would happen all over the world, so that's where their motto comes from "One world, one people," 'cause people had come together during the blip.
The Fat Amy edit *lolz* 🤣
I don't follow Marvel anymore (because it just got to a point where it didn't feel like they were trying *Thor L&T), but I truly miss this era. The fandom was mostly united, we would make predictions and theories every week, wait for big moments and cameos. Unfortunetly after Moon Knight and Ms Marvel the spark just disappeared. It was fun.
The series are good, and Shang Chi was very good.
Steve used guns in Cap 1 and Avengers 1.
John Walker is the Captain America the rest of us deserve
How the he'll did she get a therapist licence? She's terrible, aggressive, confrontational and constantly brings up the past all of which are massive professional no no's.
Its a pleasure to watch your reactions, your enjoyment is very authentic. I like this show, but I do have some criticisms. I wish they would have explored the positive aspects of the world during the Blip more, rather than immediately making the flag smashers the villains. Billions of ppl vanish, but over 5 years the world starts its recovery. Ppl start to get new jobs they didn't have before, housing that wasn't available before. The world cares less about petty differences between groups and ppl come together and have a share communal experience in the rebuilding. Then boom, everyone that was missing is blipped back. The governments force ppl to give the blipped back the job they had before and the housing they had and displace those that never left. It's an incredibly interesting and complicated period of time that the MCU just brushes past. It deserves more exploration to really understand the nuances of everyones experience.
On the other hand, you come back from the blip, and someone else is living in your apartment, you have no job, etc.
The thing about the Flag Smashers is that they're terrorists. They use violence & fear to advance their agenda.
I agree!! It’s such a complicated and infinitely layered situation. I thought they would get a little deeper into it here, but I’m hoping they do in subsequent shows and movies. I’m so curious to know what happened during and after the blip!
Thanks!
Oh man, thank you so much!! 🥰
@@CristyReacts NP, your vids are new to me so I am trying to catch up. But you seem so sweet and earnest, it's refreshing
8:43 It's the same shiled just from the past
Walkmart cap lol
I LOVE UR REACTION TO THIS AWESOME MARVEL SERIES 😊❤❤❤ MY BEAUTIFUL LATIN ♥️ LADY ♥️♥️♥️ FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER DID WELL ON THIS SHOW
i still like hawkeye a little bit better.
Hawkeye has been my favorite Disney+/Marvel series so far.
That series is Ok ;)
Perhaps this will be a controversial opinion, but despite watching these six episodes, I did not like the series itself to any degree, to be honest.
I watched it just for Bucky, Sebastian Stan sweeps. The story itself, however, for me was incredibly slow, without flair...
But I'm glad it interested you, my favorites are Loki and WandaVision :)
Loki is next!!! I’m excited
walmart looking dude frfr
There's a series racial reason why sam doesn't done the Mattel of captain America that every black person in America knows what it is
Hello don’t forget to take a break from MCU before too long( Spoilers) and watch X Men films and Spider Man films from Sony. And also, you need to watch Daredevil(and the other Defenders shows), before you get to more shows.
Falcon and the Winter Solder > Wandavision. Fite me :-p
No I’m with you 100%
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This episode has annoyed the heck out of me. Sam was originally introduced to Steve in the movie as a guy who ran group sessions for veterans with PTSD. And here he is talking trash about group, and when Bucky has a breakthrough he laughs it off and basically ends the group session. This was so out of character for Sam and it really really annoys me and tainted the whole show for me. Sam would not have done that, anyone else Roadie, Tony even Steve I could see disrespecting therapy...but not Sam...that was Sams shtick.
So finding out that a black man once again was she like s*** by his own government wasn't annoying to you
First.
The incident with the police was pure Hollywood Woke BS. There are touches of that here and there in the series, but I've learned to appreciate the story they were trying to tell.
Your editor cut it out, but I LOLed when Bucky said that he read The Hobbit when it came out. In 1937. 😏
Just remember how Cap was selected back in the day. Colonel Philips wanted to pick a "he man" for the process, while Erskine wanted Steve exactly because he wasn't strong.
IMO, today's government made a similar mistake; they chose someone who was already a great soldier. Again IMO Walker isn't bad, he's cocky & unsure of himself, which causes him to be impulsive.
One idea the series pushes that I'll never agree with, that this country isn't ready for a black Captain America. According to Hollywood, most of fly over country is still stuck in 1950s Alabama. 🙄
6:59 Little does she know, after this it won’t be the same as the og days🥲
