Wonderful idea to rent a boat in Ketchikan. You caught some good bird photos and that huge nest was amazing. Perfect cheese and drinks at the end. Cheers 25

Looked a real bumpy ride and I could tell you were enjoying it lol! Yeah, that was pretty straightforward.......my head went blank after the first 20 seconds, I hope you were taking all that in because I sure was lost! Captain Kirsty did a great job through and she really did seem to enjoy the trip or was it your discomfort....To be fair there was some great footage there and some great shots of the wildlife. I trip I would enjoy but Mrs Metalman would hate, not sure if I would fancy food and fizzy soda right afterwards mind, cheers Alan

So scary for me but after the anxiety wore off a bit, it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Kristy made a great captain! Glad she paid attention to the instruction on how to drive the thing. We were actually both quite surprised that the tour guide said "since it is a small group today you get to drive your own boats!" Zodiacs are such a fun boat to tour around in. You two saw a lot of wildlife and the bald eagle nest was awesome. It's amazing how much pressure riding fast in a boat like that creates - you really notice it when it stops. The soda snacks look very nice to try. Great area to visit.

You were looking a little green in the gills there my friend,lol. I have never driven a small one like that only a large pontoon that my Dad had back in the mid to late 70's.Ketchikan is where they filmed Alaska The Last Frontier if I'm not mistaken.

I would have felt better about a larger pontoon like you mention. It was ultimately worth the trip and fun to see the eagles up close plus the whale.
