  • TuneBoy live mapping on a Kawasaki Ninja 300.
In this video we do three runs at 10% throttle.
The first shows the standard power, at the end of this run the TuneBoyTrim software sends fuel map updates to the ECU.
The second run shows the improvement from the changes to the fuel map values.
After the second run we make an adjustment to the ignition advance, these bikes respond well to ignition changes at the lower throttle points.
The power gain on the third run is all due to the ignition changes.
All of these changes are made without needing to turn the motor off, this is live tuning.
With each run the motor manages to pull higher in the rev range, this means each run makes the motor go to an area that needs mapping, with a few extra runs the bike pulls well right through the rev range.
The low throttle area we are mapping in this video is very important as it is used every time you try to roll the throttle on out of a corner.

Do you change the parameters of the dual throttle valve system? I don't like the slow rev right off idle and the soft response when you wack the throttle from a roll, say at 7k rpm. Pretty sure that is due to the ecm slowly rolling on the throttle even when you hit it quickly.

Dude, how many HP would it be possible to gain by only installing an aftermarket exhaust and propper tunning on this bike? Are k&n filters a must or is it enough with the stock one? Finally, if you install a k&n (more air) do you need to tweak valves for more incoming gas too? Thanks in advance!
