Pocket Jacks was a clear fold, I don't get your willingness to lose your stack every time when you're being completely priced out. How much do you think is enough to start my poker journey? I’m making $700 a week at my regular job and that money I could easily make playing 1/2 and 1/3 until I’m comfortable to move up to 2/5. But for someone that want to play poker for a living, how much should they at least have??

They shoved the money early by fear of being drawn out against and so they they have to face a tougher decision on the next street. To me it’s clear he has a 10 with a small chance he has AK suited for the nut flush draw and two overs. But given that he still has players behind him even the flush draw is unlikely because he’d be afraid of someone sandbagging a 10. So, 95% chance he has a 10 there.

Damn 😮 that’s a tough hand to get scooped both boards on 🤦🏾♂️… it’s all good variance gets everyone at one time or another… your still a killa 💯💯… you’ll get it back 👍🏾
Hi Lex I think the JJ hand you just have to put the money in. You said it yourself you have the nut overpair with no ❤ so really, if you can't call down with this hand then what are you calling with. Just some 10x and you don't even have all the offsuit 10x from that position. These guys arent nitty vegas regs, this is a florida private game so you do have to pick spots to give action, this looks like a good one.
You mean in like EVERY game nowadays?? I tighten my range and try to 3 bet big to price out pot odds fish. Sometimes it works, other times you still gotta beat the entire deck!
It depends, if I was super deep stacked I would call. Pocket Jacks hand I would FOLD because he could have pocket queens, kings or aces. But to answer - I would FOLD, wait for a stronger hand
On the JJ hand at 2:56 i think it’s more likely he has a weak 10 or a nut or near flush draw. He could have QQ but i feel that and KK as well as AA would have raised preflop. So mostly a fold with black jacks and definitely a fold with a heart. Because you block that. But it’s tough. I probably still call
Wasting winning positions cost you more than any loss. Youre betting like 2x-4x pot post flop like no shit you have a strong hand, against regular players just slowplay for max value, most people arent gonna overthink that hard
Bad beats with quads on board are the worst. I lost a huge pot once after flopping a full house with pocket 8s on 8 3 3 board with turn 3 river 3 runout. Villain bet flop big I re-raised. Bet turn and guy jammed with AK.
Wow what are the chances Pocket QQs loses to AK in a Quad Board!!! I believe this is the FIRST TIME I have ever witnessed that!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I mean even after the flop, you're saying/thinking "NO ACE, NO KING (never ever even considering 'no jack')" ... and low and behold on the run out there is no ace/no king but yet still lose!!!??? UNREAL!!!
I'd call here. If he has a Ten good for him, why would TT or AT go all I'm there? Maybe straight + flush draw or already has made hand and wants max value if your on a draw
You have hit more Sets than I have in the last 3 months and I play once a week. lol some how I also have a 3 month win streak in spite if being card dead.
he plays a ton and shows us the interesting hands, so I think that's why you think he hits so many sets? you have like a 12% to flop a set, so it isn't that crazy
@Jack Landgraff I have 78hrs played and I have hit 1 and it was on the nothing pot with one caller preflop. I haven't even folded pocket pair that would go on to hit a set. I average about 5 to 7 pocket pair a session. So that Math is insane to me. I have to have a wave of them coming. Lol I hope.
I was worried about that spot on your right hand. Went back and checked recent videos, i don't see any trace of the spot, so i assume it was ink or a burn or something. If that is a growth, please see a doctor asap. 🙏
Hey Lex, Not sure calling the All-in with J/J was the best move. Sure you could discount A/A and K/K... but at best you are against A/K or K/Q of Hearts... I wonder if this wasn't a Private Game, if you still make this call. Oh Well... thankfully this was a $5/$10 game and not something bigger. Hope all is well.
I can't believe you called his shove into 4 players. He only has 10-X on that board. I also watch all of your vlogs and there is a pattern of you way over betting when you have the nuts or a monster hand. Almost all of the time they fold. I think you are losing a ton of value in these hands. You have to look more at the stack size, the game, and the opponent and then decide how much value can you extract from each one in that situation. Sometimes a smaller size will also induce a raise. I don't like to see you leave so much on the table in these made hands.
With the JJ hand on 10-10-6...I mean the idea that he could shove here with AXhh just would gnaw at me a bit I guess. I'd hate to see that! And it's especially a possibility knowing you don't have the Jh yourself so you unblock that possibilty!
Lex I'm going to stay full because that's what your gut told you to do. Now after you called I see you made the wrong decision that time go with your gut usually it's right. But if you want to get more action in the private game by all means burn your money
Folding jacks. You really only beat 9s or AK and I don't see the player shoving with that especially 5 ways. You're losing to maybe queens, a 10 and pocket 6s which are all in his range there.
JJJJ was painful to watch
Nice spot flipping with all that dead money. Too bad 😢
It was probably getting all in regardless…

Lex. You asked about my comment about the JJ hand. In poker it is difficult to comment. Most poker hands the comment is "It depends"
So what was the quads over quads???
JJJJA Vs. JJJJQ
Not exactly what comes to mind when you think quads over quads, but ya it is.
except that it's not
@@cclouse14 JJJJA is not quads? Or is the JJJJQ the one that's not quads?
They are both the same quads, numbnuts. It's not a better quads over an inferior quads, which is what quads over quads means. He was simply outkicked.
I'd fold the pocket jacks. I'd play Qs or Ks with those 10s paired though.
The video title is misleading. technically it is correct but I'm sure everyone expected to see a sick hand with 2 pocket pairs making qouds.
Hey Lex, how do you find yourself adjusting when players are calling far wider than they should pre and pots are often 3-5 players to the flop?
You mean in like EVERY game nowadays?? I tighten my range and try to 3 bet big to price out pot odds fish. Sometimes it works, other times you still gotta beat the entire deck!
3:47 those cards are all tore up! Bet there's other defaults on the cards that would make it easy for other players to know where certain cards are.
It only matters if they back of the cards are torn. The face of the card being torn doenst inpact anything

He doesnt have the power of hindsight like you do
The exact same thing happened to me last night! I had JJ against AQd. 2 Kings on the flop followed by K turn and K river 🤒 Sickening

With the 6s full hand check raise on turn woulda been fine because draws will call that would check fold river
