Instructions missing what to do if some home wiring have an additional wire. My house has a red wire but in your instructions you show only for black white and green wires leaving homeowners wondering what to do if this option exists. Disappointed ☹️
The red wire is probably for a separate switch on your wall that can turn the fan on and off separate from the light. This unit doesn't appear to support that, so just cap off the red wire and use the black, white, and green wires only.
@@DoverDanny that's odd. You may need to call an electrician. I had the same set up and capping off the red wire and just using the black wire worked fine for me

This fan would benefit from having a shroud that covers up gaps in drywall where the mounting box is located.

@@akbazzi thank you for your advice. I did just what you suggested and the unit doesn’t work with just the black wire
