great tips. mine to add would be to think 'modular' about your elements of production instead of always thinking about a track or a song. I learned this from painting and graphic design, by just thinking about color as a separate idea from subject matter. So maybe just spend a day on rhythms and spit out a bunch of rhythm ideas. Or write a bunch of short melodies. Or get into sound design and just try to create that pad sound you have always wanted. It takes the pressure off the process and lets you explore and create whatever. And then if you come up with something new you can turn it into a song later.
