This year I spent 4 days in London for $130, a week in Rome for that same price, 3 days in Budapest for $65. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. Many people I know ask me how I do it. So here is the answer. This is how you can travel the world on a budget - for cheap, or almost free.
Each trip has 3 main budget drainers: transportation, accommodation ad food. If you manage to cut your expenses in these 3 fields you'll become a master at budget travel.

Honestly, it's very true... Flying is the most convenient way of getting somewhere. But sometimes it's not about convenience, but adventure. And as much as I love flying, it's nothing super adventurous. I'd almost always take a train/bus/blablacar when it takes 3 hours or less to get somewhere.
