The Birbeck website lists the Day 2 lecture as 'FOR A LEFT THAT DARES TO SPEAK ITS NAME'
There is a lecture by the same name (given at CUNY) on this channel.

@ 1:16 Speck does not mean 'steak' in German, it means 'bacon'.
Germans cut their bacon into cubes and their ham into strips; it's probably ideological like toilets.
Maybe there is this implication that the Joker is "hamming it up" while at the same time emphasizing that A. Speck is just an insignificant, little grain.

Zizek's analysis is too deep for the tiny brain of main stream left.

And even deeper for the narcissistic anti-thought fanaticism of the right, mainstream and fringe alike, which remains forever hysterically untouched by any need for analysis, whether deep or shallow.

We actually have to listen to him which is a lost art. I've never heard that about Snowden. Zizek's Tourettes is bad here. I'm not surprised that censorship is creeping in on him and we should start downloading and saving his talks.

In order to prevent from the idea of false dignity winning, there's no need spreading any violence - 'irrational' or 'rational'. What's desirable is returning to discussions concerning the issue of original national values. The origins of Joker do matter.

You mean it can be used to critique any ideology? I don't think anyone is unaware of this, considering how much critique he addresses towards the mainstream left. :P What's disappointing is how badly this critique is usually received.

Nietzsche accused Kant of oriental thinking, and I will demonstrate that his intuition has come to fruition. Slavoj Zizek refers to Hegel in his “The Sublime Object of Ideology”: “…the actuality reduced to a possibility…” x. And again paraphrases Hegel on page xi, “… becomes actual as potentiality, only through language...”
It just takes a brief moment to cite Charles Sanders Peirce’s Categories, of which there are only three, to understand that trying to reduce one category to another, in this case actuality to possibility, is categorically unacceptable. Zizek’s thought is alien to western civilization.
He finishes the preface by suggesting that the critics of Hegel need a laxative. In the age of “On Bullshit,” a liar understands truth and the bullshitter understand persuasion, so Zizek is the Thales of Fecal incontinence.

It is not at all alien to Reality in the true sense the Possibility Space in QFT is the Square Root of Probability (paraphrasing Nick Herbert's unparalleled masterpiece in clarity). What could be more concrete!? We've measured the "nature" of reality and indeed found it alien to human understanding, only approachable in precisely that sense of symbolic abstraction* -Linear Algebra.
Consider also the state of history as it contrasts with historiography, and prediction with inevitable failure. Truly even the "now", is, scientifically speaking, invalid, as its a record is an imperfect impression upon neurons of the most recent past, and all decisions lie in the shadow of a 100 millisecond gap in the brains calculus.
Also, I'm fully aware that Žižek is a bullshitter; his perpetual allusions to "what I've been told" as well as the cesspool of popular culture is more than enough proof. In that way, he totally understands Trump, just as Michael Moore does (though of Course, Moore is a Leftist Establishment Shill for skittish Old Guard Socioeconomic Libertarians, so constantly works from a position of fear-mongering)
*I do however loathe Lacanian nonsense, and always revert to "ID, Ego, Superego" and try and filter it through a perspective of another (so I think) triphasic filter of Absurdism, Surrealism, and Realism. The best analogous descriptive system would be a Newman Projection. Science Applied outside its scope of Popper's Falsification Schema Within a second framework of Logical Positivism, is however, protoscientific to be uncharacteristically charitable. Frankly, it smacks of "Woo" as the hardline cryptofascist scientists like to toss about (PZ Meyers, NdG Tyson, Bill Nye, formerly Dawkins but he has gained some tact, some slight evidence of this also can bee seen from Tyson).
The unfortunate effect of trying to approximate a systematic philosophy via say Hegel or even a Trans-systematist like Nietzsche, is that you run can afoul of the same idiotic abstractions as Neoplatonism. Orientalist thinking hasn't failed, not nearly as often as has Western modes of thought. They can coexist very happily with one another, practically in mutualism, unlike the farcically parasitic syncretism of the West.
I would also like to point out that Kant was AGAINST Hegel, who thought, similar to Leibniz, that we could approach and inevitably capture Truth, unmediated. Ramon Llull may have one of the first Westerners to consider the idea, and despite many interpretations to the contrary, esoteric Eastern Spiritualism is founded on this as a matter of course.
Cratylus was one of very few to catch on that symbols become meaningless to the action, going beyond even the Platonists. Truly, can we Describe Color? Can we Describe flavor? The only thing left to us is the Question, and the very useful Loanword Mu.
I don't hold these views, as my allusions to technical diagrams illustrates. I think language creates the dichotomy to illustrate the Monoidal nature of Information, something possessed not by Truth, nor fact, not belief. Belief as an ingredient for Truth seems absolutely like a foundational fallacy, as action proves ideology, not the reverse--come to it, maybe that's what "War hallows all causes" was meant to implicate.
I also find dichotomies simplistic. Ideas are best regarded as shards of memetic information, acting like genes, phenotypes, epigenetic markers, and organisms in a Total ecology-- Rensch's Evolution above the Species Level is required reading.
Given the rise of Computers (Ascended to Ontological supremacy from the very Inception at Blechley Park), I think all systematists are vindicated by Result, and rhetoric has become superfluous. Not meaningless, certainly not benign, but truly unnecessary (purely Lamarchian or epigenetic, stemming from either the Id or the Absurd).
