Going from Kings Cross Station to Heathrow T5 gave minicabit £46 Uber £45.95 Minicabs UK £42 So in the same ballpark (but I don't live in the UK and could have put in a really unreasonable trip without knowing)

On the business itself, I think it's dangerous territory as taking 10% away from drivers will make them not as keen to please customers. Pair that with knowing unhappy customers are more likely to blame the company they book through and it could be a disaster.
Beautifully said, I tell my folks these words everyday, it's good to save money but most people don't understand the market moves and tend to be mislead in fact's like this and always depend on money in the bank.
It's not about selfishness imo, but too many people expressing their ideas might contradict each other and it's harder to control the conversation rather than 2 people, and one business owner

That wouldn't make any sense. The whole point that he was making in order for them to drop down, was that he doesn't want a ratchet deal.
