Love this video! It’s so fun to revisit that experience with you guys. Your Promaster did amazing … still can’t get over how beautiful our campsite was! Cheers, til next time ✌️- M
That was an awesome video. Brought back so many great memories. Your NooVoo was awesome and did a great job navigating the terrain. Also, thanks for the Starlink hook up when needed. By the way, give me a call, I have a Sasquatch update on the recovery board, you won't believe what I discovered. Can't wait til the next time, you too are awesome. Safe travels ahead.
Absolutely love winter camping scenes like this! What a find and adventure to go back down those forest roads, especially with all the snow and ice. We are on that search as well in the sierras but keep running into warm weather and too much melting haha.
Something definitely special about winter camping! It is crazy to see how much snow the sierras got hit with last year and how warm it’s been down there this year! 🤞 Fingers crossed you find some!
We definitely are not fans of the cold ourselves anymore😂, but something about watching a fresh snow come down while cozy inside is nice once in a while. With that said… we are happy we head out tomorrow towards Florida 😆 SUN!!! ☀️
Thanks! We tried that a few times with no luck. Very strange, but we think we have the solution. It gets fixed in a week (we hope so) and we will report back.
Yeah it’s a random thing I am seeing reported by people. Seems like it’s random which ones are effected, but thankfully ram is aware and working on a solution from I was told.
that 100 % is overlanding... issue is people associate overlanding based on vehicle and accessories only. overlanding is being self sufficient during long road/offroad journey. imo its having a journey off the beatin path using your survival thinking and vehicle camping :).. my new van rig is getting all my accessories that i had used on my runner.. great video
Thanks for that and we agree! Very well said!💯 I (Neal) just thought some of those diehard overlanders may get upset if I called it that because it was a forest road. We have been traveling for so long, but this last year we have really got more into overlanding. Being so new I still feel a bit uneasy on terminology when the camera is on me 😂
@@NealBritt lol, ts a great video.. i think the term overlander was hijacked by people wo spend 2 hundred grand on their jeeps, broncos and runners and dont dare to rock crawl with those pricey rigs lol.. you and your wife show how to overland with a van rig and your energy for the adventure.. good enough for me... others will always judge and will expect you to live as they want you to live... fk the toxic trolls.. hifive.. subbed.. i really suck at talking to camera.. your video was great and the edit was awesome.. i will check out your other vids :)
Thank you so much for the kind words. Definitely appreciated and we fully agree. Spot on with our assessment. In the end we all just want to have fun and enjoy the outdoors, so whatever anyone calls it, I’m grateful we have the opportunity to do it. 😎
Tire selection and appropriate pressure for the given conditions allows the front wheel drive Promaster to perform quite well. I'm running Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx M/S rated tires with excellent results over the past 4 years...
Great video. Regarding the front end power, our 2024 Airstream Rangeline on the Promaster chassis does the exact same thing. Even trying to pull up on Anderson blocks in wet conditions. Very frustrating to say the least.
Ahh no I am sorry to hear that. I would definitely get it noted with Ram. I was told it should be a simple computer flash or something of the sort when a fix is released. I don’t know how factual that is since it’s all speculation from the dealers and I am by no means a mechanic or auto engineer 😂
Did you try to turn off the stabila track along with having the traction control off, I know in my truck when you press the traction control button once it disables traction control pressing and holding the same button also disables the stability track which is necessity when driving on Sand and snow.
Hey 👋 Thanks for watching and the suggestion! We turned every component off for the ESC system. Pressed and held until it indicated it was deactivated. Same procedure on the 23 promaster. Press and hold to shut off Stabilization and traction control. No luck unfortunately. Thankfully we will be getting to the bottom of it in a week and we can report back.
Thank you! Happy New Year! We are running Falken Wildpeak at4s. They are our go to now after years of having BFgoodrich ko2’s. We just found them to be about the same performance wise in general conditions, little better on snow and mud, and a little bit quieter on the roads.
Its a open diff and you have traction cotroll is on. Meaning its cutting the little power you have because one side is starting to slipand then your tc cuts all power. Just my guess
Definitely a strange issue to say the least. We couldn’t get it on video, but we tried everything. Turning the ignition on, turning traction control off, and no power at all to either front tires even in that order. Troubleshot everything we could think of all the way to restarting the van a few times to go through an order of process to narrow things down. That happened a few times and it was the weirdest of all when testing it out. Since then I have spoke to Ram and dozens in the Ram groups on FB are experiencing the issue. Ram is aware of it and they are working on a fix. It’s is a computer/ software issue from the sounds of it, but I am no expert. Luckily not something much worse. Thanks for the comment and suggestion. We really appreciate it! 💯🙏
We have our Ekko still, but wanted a better built van with better components. We honestly have not found many roads we couldn’t shove this promaster or our old one down. The few times we do though definitely makes us scream a little 😂 We are getting even more adventurous as of late and are willing to take more challenges so AWD / 4x4 is on our minds. The Ekko being on the transit ecoboost AWD is a beast. All the water tanks being inside is huge too. As far as the chassis and shell it’s unbelievable. The build quality inside though is another story. Our Noovo lite is the opposite build wise. The interior is flawless like an upscale studio apartment. Feels more like home and is way more inviting. It can take a beating over time and will look great. We actually have a big project coming up, well a few 😂, with the Ekko. In our next video we will be updating everyone on some big projects and travel ls we have planned for 2025.
Loved it! Can’t wait to take my Noovo camping in the snow. Smart to caravan with friends. Especially when it’s Michelle and Jason! ☺️
For sure! It’s always a great time with those two, but it definitely was nice having their rig just in case we got in a sketchy situation. 😎💯
✌️ ❤

That campspot was incredible! We definitely will be visiting that road again when back in the area. Such a blast with you two!
What fun and beautiful spot. Love that train going by. Two of my favorite channels and four amazing people together. Thank for sharing .
Thanks Richard! That spot is incredible and pretty easy to get to. If you’re ever in the area let me know and I’ll share the pin. 💯
Happy New Year Richard! ✌️
Thanks for all of your support! 😊
Wow the snow so amazing but you must be careful😊
Definitely nice to camp in the snow once in a while for sure, but one definitely has to be prepared for anything! 💯

Turn off traction control and the transmission will allow power to the wheels and raise the shut off rpm to the axles

love that spot . I love the trains going by...cool to see what the Noovo can do - except that weird issue with the Promaster...

seems like such a waste to do all that driving to stay there for only 1 night 😅
I agree 😂 It actually wasn’t too bad. Maybe only 25 minutes down that forest road. We wish we could have stayed longer for sure.
