His character was one of those rare occasions where I didn't care what kind of cruel punishment he got, had absolutely no sympathy for him and Aaron Taylor Johnson did such a great job capturing that.
Aaron Taylor Johnson disappeared in this film. If he keeps it up I'm seeing him as one of the modern greats.

He is def. going to win an Academy Award within five years. I've seen him in so many movies with different looks and voices. I am amazed with him to this day.

What a deeply, deeply unsettling performance. If you're gonna watch, watch it twice at least. And prepare for some brutal frustration/story structure/performances....
It's not easy to watch. Think "deliverance" mashed with coen brothers grit, krubricks detail, and Lynch's hyper reality weirdness.

Nocturnal Animals is about the means of justifying bias. Or, to put it another way, Tom Ford's drama is about the moral need to end the duplication of cause so that the original cause of the universe has a right to become violent. Even more impressively, Nocturnal Animals is about the war between the link between reality's origin and morality and the ability of that link.
Guilt and revenge are the surface of the story, but Nocturnal Animals is also about the process of cancelling the universe because of the idea that reaction is immoral.
