As I mention in the video, a buddy of mine wanted to see how I do my own haircut and figure there may be one or two others out there looking for the same bit of info so here ya go!
Your video helped me a lot with me cutting my hair. Also, saved me a lot of time and cash. Since Jan 2024. Forever will be grateful and thankful for this. God bless!
Lol. And yet I got 52 subscribers out of it… I never expected this to hit 20k views. I wasn’t kidding when I literally thought this was the best way to show a buddy how I did it and maybe a few others, but dang!
Great haircut, I cut.mine similar, I use (small #1 guard bottom of side/ then reg.#1 guard on rest of side and then #2 guard on the top) I do it once a week.just like the marines do.lol I'm 62 years old, I've been doing my own haircuts for 20+ years , first a flat top haircut, then a high and tight GI fade. With a WAHL.clipper from Walmart, Thank you for your service.
The lever is a difference between shorter and longer cuts. I don't remember why but they go in different directions when cutting hair. But you did a pretty damn good job! And I agree works alot better then paying 20 a pop for haircuts. Being a single mom I've learned to cut my son's hair. I gotta work on fading but like I said your really good at it. 👍
"There's a lever on the side, I don't really know what it does" finally, someone as clueless as me. Hopefully this will help me in future, I like it longer on top but never cared for pansy boy perfect fades with the back and sides, just trim and neat like this.
Give it a shot...as I mentioned if you mess it up just buzz it and try again a couple weeks later! I’ve saved a ton after doing it like so for the better part of the last decade!
@@randomtexan6394 Wish I could, but I don't think I could. I have a torn rotator cuff in my right shoulder and can't maneuver my right arm behind my head. Sadly. But I wish I could do it.
Thank you for the video. No offense, but your accent reminds me to a great fellow , he was an actor from the 60s , Slim Pickens… Have a great day and greetings from Switzerland
I am gonna start cutting my own hair this upcoming weekend I am aiming for this style mine is a bit easier because I do not fade but messing up the line is what worries me most.
Same style always for the Country, Walmart and Waffle House folks. Buzz cutt, FOakleys, Southern accent, flag laced clothing, pickup truck, body odor and bad teeth. 🤡😂

As a former military barber I can say you did a great job. Followed Army regs to the letter..
With that credential I suppose that’d be about the best compliment I can get on here. Thanks!
This is the best tutorial I've seen so far. My SO has been doing his own hair since quarantine and some of the videos are very complicated.
This actually helped me a lot and that ending had me laughing too hahaha.
The end was hilarious 😂😂

Self haircut is freedom itself.

I agree that a short haircut is freedom!

Should have seen this before messing my sons hair up, but like you said I’ll give it another shot in a couple of weeks lol
Lol. I’ve certainly messed it up a time or two, but it was free.99 versus $15-$20!

I do a halfway decent job myself. By the way, I was at Ft. Riley 1976-1979. Thankyou for your service.
Seeing your username and talking fort Riley…fun fact, Jack Knight commissioned out of Riley in WWII.
Thanks, I think I’m going to try this this summer.
Thanks, helped me cut my hair 4 hours before my last rsp drill 😂
Call me stupid but I always tried to stick the hand mirror behind my neck, much easier to turn around and have the small one in front of you, duh
I’m not in the army but this is exactly what I need thank you sir
We would love to see a DIY on side tables for your living room!
That awesome that you can cut your own hair and it looks perfect. I'm envious!
