I just love how genuine Steve is. If he doesnt know something he just tells you "I dont know". No BS or making stuff up. Tells it like it is. Great work Steve.
I’ve gotten so many life long customers that way. The other two are “I made a mistake I’ll take care of it” and “I mis diagnosed it I’m not gonna charge you”.
"Babies get bottles, but men get blown" was my license plate frame I had made. Way back in the early 90's on my Lincoln Mark VII with a Vortech V1 and 5 speed Tremec. The looks in the rear view when people would read it.... lol If they only knew what it meant.
yep you're right the ol Carb stuff is Bitchin but when it comes down to it when you can hook up the Electronic Screwdriver and tell it when and how much to give it and all the other tweaks that can be done
OMG!! Bringing back the Carb and Nitrous motors!! 👀 Heck yeah!! Love it.. that’s super cool to see. My Old School Roots!! NOS!!👍🏼 let’s see them views Roll IN!!
I don’t think so… nitrous sux! Hit the switch oh yea bottles empty… oh yea I have to heat the bottle..That combo would be much much better with anything else accept no nitrous.
run double the bottles you need, and they make electric bottle heaters and openers! I have 2 20lb bottles and with the simple flip of 2 switches one bottle gets shut and the other opens. the heaters start as soon as the car is running.
The people who hate on nitrous must not like horsepower. If class rules allowed people would run multiple power adders……especially guys with too small of a motor with too big of a turbo like most LS guy. Give it 15 seconds and your power will kick in lol. Little spray fixes that.
Great clip/learning time. Showing how palls (dam almost 30 years) stay in touch. Still thinking about high school times with buddies, and wishing that was yesterday. But having a motor on your dino with juice?? That's a motor owner with...dang roots. Thank you Tom showing knowledge.
Hey Steve. What you guys need for this engine is the Heltech Elite VMS It has all the good stuff an ECU has except injector drivers. Can do Ignition control Boost control Nitrous control Launch control Trans brake and bump control Data logger Fan control Pump control Engine safety Would be perfect for this engine
That's a healthy old school engine for sure. 1320HP is nothing to be mad about! Dewey doing Dewey things as usual. LOL Comes strolling in, steals a rag and refuses to give it back. 🤣
Na is my favorite stuff with stick shift. Love to see rebuild of 632. Currently building headers for SB2 sbc in 68 Jerico 4 spd Chevelle. Can’t wait to fire been 2 years in motor build.
Hey Steve, Tim here, seems pretty stout for on motor (knowin nitrous cams/motors usually dont make impressive #'s NA)..........i'm LAUGHING, and its a GAS!!!!...hahaha, enjoyed it!!! TY sir, good luck to ur man there!!!!!....
Nice work guys! That’s good power for an older nitrous 632! If he has good control of the timing, he can run 900 on it, probably on another kit, depending on the chamber in the head? After that you best be a good tuner! If he wants to head towards fuel injection, set him up with Fuel Tech! Lots of Carb nitrous guys are doing it for the coil on plug, & all the information they get with it! Then they move to injection when they can get a big throttle body & injectors! Louis @ Fuel Tech knows how to step on that shit 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻! Was hoping to see one kit & some flames 🔥🔥 🤷🤷🤷🤷!
Dewey! My four yr old rescue pit Queenie is fffing obsessed with rags, hand-towels! She'll eat anything ... I thought it'd subside a bit by now but no, she'll scarf up anything ie., rocks, dirt too. Worries me.
I have a question about Nitrous, does carburetor size matter when running Nitrous? Thought the engine wants a certain amount of air, but if you run with like 4oohp or 8oohp Nitrous, shouldn't the carburettor be bigger considering the increased amount of air that the engine requires? And thanks Steve & Kyle for a great channel.. 👍
Cubes+cubes+cubes=Hp. '70s I was a small block fan, then started stroking to 400ci+, seen that light bulb so decided to start with 400+ci and stroke them. I know this is a boosted channel, and I wanted to give it a shot. Bought a Paxton Centrifugal supercharger, even bought a turbo, wasn't anyone close to really learn it from, no chrome/yt to research back then. So it was cubes+cubes+cubes+NA.
When the right combo is on the dyno, would be really interesting to how the distributor driven spark VS CNP plays out. I've been super curious about that for a while....
Just went back and watched all 3. Dang good testing! Ironically , matches my combo quite close! Dominator driving a black 4500. NoS motor. I agree, a very capable system that runs strong!
Steve something to try for cleaning that glass... get some fireplace ash from somewhere, wet a paper towel or towel and dip it in the ash, then rub on the glass. You may be surprised, works on a lot of stuff.
Hey Steve, have you ever checked to see if someone could just buff the window to get the blemishes out? Ive done it to headlights and even face shields.
Hey Steve did you consider using automotive fine cut polish or chrome polish on that glass if it’s lexon style? We do that a lot on our safety shielding at work to remove chemical stains
I could see spraying nitrous on the dyno just because it will probably be faster and you can monitor it better than at the track to see if fovsome reason you need different jets or just make sure it's all good kinda same reason you are running the engine on the dyno
"USGS reports a slight wobble in the earths rotation, today....instruments indicate a large amount of horsepower applied and affected proper rotation."
Hey Steve, on that Window problem why don't you get a auto paint detail guy to use some Compound and Cut N Buff those marks away, actually I think Hot Rod Val could probably fix it, keep up the good work love the channel 👍
hi steve don from dons engines, i have question for you, i have short deck 454 bb chevy i want to make it in to tall deck, so here i go i will make steel spacer .400 thick pin it to stock deck use hardended pins to keep it from moving copper gasket, longer arp head bolts to hold it all down than bore and put in mellings linners to take care of gap, do you know if any one has tryed this custermer has no money for dart block what do you think??????
try some 3000 then 6000 then 9000 grit sandpaper.on the window with water--its then same thing aircraft mechanics use to sand out scratches in glass on fighters and many other type of aircraft
Greta sticker pretty self explanatory on that one. “All Animals “ quote is from Animal Farm by George Orwell Basis of socialism ‘ equity for all ! ……... but some have to be in charge…….so they are more “equal” than others. They will always get more.🤔🤔
Hey Steve, is the Hoodie u r wearing is the same in your merch shop. It looks like the one you are wearing is a lighter blue. Interested in getting one exactly like the one you have on.
Oh man, they got to Steve. Blink twice if the NOS people are holding you hostage!
🤣
Hahahahaha
They spend money!!!
With SME, that’s a win , win.
☠️😅😅
Nitrous sucks
I just love how genuine Steve is. If he doesnt know something he just tells you "I dont know". No BS or making stuff up. Tells it like it is.

Love the Old School carb stuff.

Enjoyed this video greatly. Back to what I started with, good ol' Dominator carb.
Not only the old school stuff but just the long form voiceover type of videos. Love them
That 632 is straight up Gangsta!!,nice job fellas
Hard to hate a big block nitrous combo
I don’t think so… nitrous sux! Hit the switch oh yea bottles empty… oh yea I have to heat the bottle..That combo would be much much better with anything else accept no nitrous.

Not hard at all.
Just when was ready to put the tablet down, this pops up. Love the videos Steve
Big block? Check.
Nitrous? Check.
Slacks and tucked upper deck? Check.
😂
That thing is tight!
Great sounding motor making old school hp.❤
I was just talking to him in january and he was telling me how excited he was to get his motor back! This is killer!
Nitrous...gets you high, and makes you fly!
Steve, you rock! Dewey is so funny. That motor is a beast. Peace
1,300 on the first pull.. natural aspirated… holy smokes.

Nice numbers out of that . PS : lots of us still have carburetors. Thanks for the video.
Hey Steve, I finally got my custom cut Greta sticker just like yours for the back window of my LS swapped Ford Ranger.
Awesome setup!!!
Hey Steve. What you guys need for this engine is the Heltech Elite VMS

Great graphics on the glass 😛👍
Hey Steve huge fan, reading some plugs and needed a small refresher so I dropped in
Nice piece!!!
I just noticed CREEPY Gretta on your window, hilarious 😂 . Knowledge and laughs, love your show 👍👍
If that window is plexiglass you can fix it by doing the same process as headlight restoration, sand then buff out defect.
man he's mentioned it several times, it's stained and he is going to replace it.... dang windows
Old school BIG BLOCK!!! I love it!!!😎👊🏾🌱
What is the brand of that water neck/thermostat housing? I like it
Steve is a bad ass engine builder. He can do anything he wants with any power option! Hes forgotten more than most builders know thats a fact.
What’s that again 🤔
This video and the one before was great. MORE!!!
Glass looks nice and clean, thank you.

to clean silver yep
Your passing on old skool secrets. I love it. Most people don't know how clean can get til they try it
I thought he said it was Lexan or Plexiglass, not glass? Glass would not stain from cleaning fluids like that.
Novus plexi glass polish

Where do you get your music ? 3rd video where I am enjoying your music
Try buffing the window with fine cut cleaner or plastic x
Did anybody get the feeling he was little disappointed how well the old school motor performed so well lol
I am surprised to see your not all running Iridium type plugs…but what type are you all using…? Great video on a different type engine!

You can get that window Buffed to remove the stains you have on it you don't have to replace the window i keep hearing you say!
All windows are transparent. Some are just more transparent than others.
It would be Nice to see the numbers when he runs it at the track

Why not spray on the dyno? Would you if on the hub dyno? Do you think it is just a waste of no2? Thank you!!
cause you need a load against it and it's just Dyno abuse $$$$$$$$
Thanks. Another question, why not tune it at the timing it will be ran when sprayed? I'm assuming jetting would change with less timing?
What a beast! Love it!
I don’t know much about a lot of things, but I do know I love purple nos
Steve... when you do get around to replacing that glass.. You have to put those stickers back on it 😅

-5psi is -10.18 in hg. Is this a simple conversion, or does it have to be relatively to the atmosphere? Cause that'll change it to -19 in hg
