- This is the Mic Test for the Astro A50 Wirelss Gaming Headset. Mic was set to 100% volume in windows settings with zero boost. In the Astro Command Center the noise gate was set to night. Setting it to home or tournament should filter out more background sound but the point of this video was to test quality more than the noise gate settings. I personally prefer how night sounds the most since I have a pretty quiet environment. If you'd like a video testing the noise gate settings let me know in the comments.

terrible mic quality. not worth $300. ill be buyng the next steelseries headset over this garbage.

They sound better than what they do in youtube videos
This is fair. The other factor is what software you are using them with. For example, Discord does some processing to make voices sound clearer and filter out background noise so unfortunately these types of tests will not show the quality in every situation.
The other factor is of course how UA-cam compresses audio and video.

@Adam S Well its funny you say that, because I actually have both the Arctis Pro Wireless and Astro A50, and the Arctis Pro Wireless mic is WILDLY better and its actually not even a close comparison...
