Viva Madrid y Bocherini
I was following a conversation, more like an argument, about political philosophy from one video to another when I stumbled on a comment that seemed particularly sane, clicked on the author's icon and found myself listening to the sweetest music and with that my search for wisdom in the conversation of 'philosophers' ended. The music was not so much an enchantment in itself as it was a device with which to dispel an evil enchantment. Thanks.
Of interest, this music may well help prevent Covid-19 (happiness = enhances immune systems response). That's my theory-well, plus dark chocolate for medicinal use.
They played this in one of the ballroom scenes in Sanditon season 2 and I couldn't figure out why it sounded so familiar, then it hit me that it was in M&C. Can't stop listening to it now.
Excelente "Master and Commander". Maravillosa Banda Sonora.
O'Brian wrote the first of the Aubrey-Maturin series in 1969 at the suggestion of American publisher J B Lippincott, following the death of C. S. Forester in 1966, a writer of popular nautical novels. Star Trek was first broadcast in 1966.
Only problem is Crowe. He looks so old and like a blimp. They ell have to find someone else. Btw this movie is on my top 10 all time greatest movie list.
@ken38urb What an irony that at this time the composer was living almost in misery and pennilesss due to the ingratitude of the Spanish court (he died in 1805, if I am not mistaken) and they are playing his music in the ship.
It's not that difficult to figure out. It's basically G, C and D chords and the melody is in the key of G Major. The fast arpeggios are the hard part, but they're just standard 1, 3, 5 arpeggios assenting and descending.
@@JamesCarmichael I love how you find that easy! What i wouldn't give to have a scrap of musical ability. Respect to all you musicians for bringing beauty like this into the world.
Absolutely the most underrated film of the new millennium.
Definitely
Hear, hear.
Naval Historians rated this film as the most historically-correct period film ever made.
It's not underrated! At least here in Europe
End of movie is one of greatest endings of a movie
Super hero movies eclipsed everything, and the proposed sequel was cancelled
I agree that it’s gotta be the most underrated movie in our generation
I agree!
When ever I am on a downer listening to this always brings me back up.
Master and Commander introduced me to Bach's Cello Prelude No. 1, but this is another excellent piece!!
I loved this movie, I also sit back, close my eyes and take in the wonderful music.
All sailors, those thinking of being a sailor, those who never thought of being a sailor, please watch this. Wonderful. Music superb!
How about us Marines?😂
Yes, Ma'am. Because that's EXACTLY how it goes, Ma'am.

One of the best films of this millennia. Great musical score.
Perfeccion, y sutiileza, la combinacion perfecta.❤😂🎉.
I do love this film and wish with all my heart that they had produced a sequel.
Or a prequel! I would’ve enjoyed seeing more from Lucky Jack!
No please no, with current Hollywood, please NO

absolutely underrated a magnificent production
One of the most beautiful movies ever is Master And Commander Far Side of the world 🌍. And a beautiful score
Sadly one of the last great movies to be made. Imagine if they made it now? (female sailors, gays, colour...)

I'm working on a guitar version of this song that should be up in a couple of months hopfully. Keep enjoying good music.
