Crab sticks are made of lean fresh fish or lean fish by product and turns them into seafood-like tube shaped products with a long shelf life. They contain fish that has been pulped and washed to remove odour. The texture is then improved with starch, egg white, vegetable oil, meat glue and humectants. Salt, sugar, MSG and other flavours are added to give the crab flavour.
I got my bag of 10 there on Wednesday arvo. They were a bit spooky and a few let go at the boat. Not as big as the Christmas crabs. I had a muddy on that wouldn't lift.
I am enjoying your vids. Do you have one that shows how you prepare/clean a crab for eating or can you show it in a future vid pls. I remember my mum telling me you have to take out the dead men. The poison bits in a crab but I was young and can't really remember
Hey mate I’m going up to the lake next week around the summer land point area, any spots and techniques around there I’ve had a bit of luck off frying pan point in the past. I’m just going off the kayak and looking for a feed of flatties👍

Try find some current it's very hot the water at moment. If using bait, fish as light sinker as possible and keep the trace 15lb and under 👍

Yes I usually pick up a couple each time I'm there, not as many as lake macquarie though
