We drove 11 hours to Angers, France to see two different castles for our wedding venue next year, we also went to dingy finallyyyyy hahahaha I had 4 hours of footage but I managed to get it to 25 minutes :) hope you are having a beautiful morning 🤍

The first venue is my favorite it stole my heart from the start. The second one feels a bit more like a hotel. The first looks like you’re back in time and you’re a royal. ❤️

I definitely agree with you the first one is so beautiful, we have been back and forth with the owner and seeing what we can do, they do have a dungeon that is now a spa 😂 it’s so crazy to see how this historic places have adapted to our era. Both venues were beautiful. The first one was stunning. And the second one still looked pretty even though it didn’t look as beautiful as the first one. I think you should just choose which ever one is going to give you the best experience for your wedding and for your guests, because at the end of the day is the experience you remember forever ❤

I find your plan phenomenal! A destination wedding for a small group of people in a more secluded, less urban part of France? Yes! The first one is magical, but the second one was just as elegant, a little more home-y, and the pool/tennis/golf for guests is very hard to beat. Either way, I was so excited watching your vlog, thank you! France has so much to offer outside of Paris.

The use of music is so brilliant and I can imagine the experience with it.
What a fun vlog, loved every minute! The first venue is just stunning- each detail of the castle is just magical. The second one is definitely more home-y and can’t beat all the outdoor offerings! As a full weekend retreat for guests the second one might be a little better because of all the activities on-site. Either way you can’t go wrong. Can’t wait to see what you decide, and of course to see some of the big day! Love Disney also!
The second venue for sure it's more private and has much more activities and the tower gives you great spaces for pictures and getting ready vlogs and it will give you more privacy and the gazebo is lakeside and much more pretty

The gazebo in the second place was stunning. And having a swimming pool for your guests seems like a big deal to me.

I personally love the second one, as I’m a more homely person. Can’t wait to hear which one you & Polo choose. Loving the wedding content by the way.
A mini advice, don’t forget to consider the inside spaces in case (hope not) you will have rainy days when staying in the castle. We never feel like thinking of plan B, but it’s good to consider the inside of château to be cosy and specious enough for your ceremony and evenings inside.
Yes!! Both have space inside to have the wedding reception and dinner no problem :)

The second one is soooo nice it’s got the light and bright vintage charm you like and just something about it’s characters seems like you very homey and cozy yet still elegant and posh too. to me it’s the more stunning one and the more you one but whatever you decide is the perfect one for your wedding 🥰🫶🏼🤍

Both venues were beautiful but the second was my favorite. The outdoors is just amazing perfect for photos and I personally liked the homey vibes of the second. Either one I’m sure your wedding will be amazing.

Both are soooooooooooo beautiful! The Second Venue definitely gave off a lot more natural lighting, and those facilities 😍. The First Venue though... absolutely magical.
I love the first one but so the 2nd one and the 2nd one like you said it fits for family time because after the wedding there’s a lot of options for family activity they could swim or play.. so 2nd one is worth it for me 🫶🏻
I love both of the Châteaux, it’s a hard pick! It’s funny to see Disney in Paris, I basically have Disneyland in my backyard. I was going there so often with my kids. They are very consistent with the look of their different parks. I know you wanted to go for a long time and I’m glad you did.

Does the second option handle all of the planning like the first, or do you need to hire a wedding planner? Hi, Lou ! I think you both already know which venue is THE one. The answer was to hear in your question, I would say. I love all my french castles of course. To me the 1st one was like a 3 stars restaurant according to Michelin's ranking. The other castle was like a very good traditional restaurant. You know what the problem is with stars restaurants ? They can be overwhelming: the guests are asking themselves which silver fork and knife they should use first, where to put the napkin, etc, instead to enjoy the meal ... Trust Polo's and your gut feeling!!! I'm so happy for you both ❤️

Excited for you both I also in I’m in love with the first one but the second one does have the beautiful pool in the lake that you can row on. There’s something very special about that too.
We were quite torn 😅 they definitely have different pros and cons 🤍
The second venue fits your small size wedding much better. The first castle is for way more guests than you have. The second venue is fit for your size party and has amenities for your smaller guest list.. it would fit your wedding much better than looking so vacant in such a grand palace.
I understand you want a small wedding but the first venue is breath taking like it looks like a fairy tail, the second one even though is pretty personally for me is not magical like the first, still pretty but I don’t know the first one stole my heart 💜

First one for sure has always been my favourite and ultimate dream because it’s so stunning. But your words describing the second one as homey I think wins. It seemed like it fit right with you and your families. Plus how amazing with all the amenities and creating beautiful memories with your closest families and friends on that estate. Did option two also have the built-in wedding planner included?

The first venue look like Chambord. I would like to go there someday. I'm glad you got to go to Disneyland Paris which I also hope to go to in the next few years I've been to Disney world many many times. We first started visiting Florida in 1972 during the summer and then moved here in the summer of 77 but I started visiting the magic Kingdom in 1972 and would go there twice a year for Christmas and then in the summer. Sadly I have not been there since 2001 but once my mortgage is paid off in a few years I hope to go to the one in Paris. I think you like the vibe of the second-place better because once you have a wedding and believe me I know this from experience you really want to see others proceed with theirs and since you're thinking of eventually owning a hotel maybe you can incorporate specializing in wedding venues.
