Today, we've learned that Gemini within the Google Messages application is no longer exclusive to Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices.
When this feature was originally launched, it was limited to the Pixel 6 series or later.
The Pixel Fold.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 or later.
The Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Fold series.
However, Google has now begun to roll out Gemini in Google Messages to more Android devices throughout the world.
The first requirement is that your Android smartphone must have 6GB of RAM or higher.
The phone's language must be set to one that is supported by Gemini.
You'll need to be on the latest version of the Google Messages application.
RCS must be enabled, you need to be 18 years old or older.
And your personal Google account that's signed into your device cannot be managed by Family Link or a Google Workspace account.
Once you have met all of those requirements, Google will begin slowly rolling out Gemini in its Messages application.
I have noticed this feature appearing on some of my devices, but not all, so the rollout is happening in phases.
Google has also been working to expand access to its Gemini application to more countries lately.
Earlier this month we saw this app being made available across Europe and now it's being rolled out to Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Turkey.
So it's a been a big month for Gemini and this aggressive rollout doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
If you live somewhere that still does not have access to the Gemini application, then I can only assume this will change in the near future as Google wants as many people using its AI services as possible.
