MOUNTING THE NEW CATTLEYA LUEDDEMANNIANA - 26/01/2021

Cattleya lueddemanniana is one of the smaller unifoliate Cattleya species with large flowers.
It originates from the Northern shores of Venezuela, where it grows at altitudes from sea level to app. 500 meters high on the hill slopes. It likes sunny and humid conditions and without bright light, it won’t bloom.
Flowers appear from sheaths on mature growths in spring and summer, lasting 3 to 4 weeks.
In nature and in cultivation, many color varieties occur, like; Semi alba, coerulea, etc …..
Here, I’m unpotting and mounting my new young plants I a slightly different way.
