The greatest feeling when an orchid bought finally blooms 👍🏼👍🏼 i had bud blast on a first time bloomer.... Next time 🙃🤞🏻 beautiful video, thank you 💝 I remember the rant video and you were right with what you said and didn't say ... fully agree 👍
Sorry for replying so late. I'm just catching up. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your bud blasting orchid to bloom very soon. Have a wonderful weekend! :)
Beautiful plants you have there and growing very well you have some nice new flowers on your plants very interesting to say thanks for the video see you soon happy New Year to you
Thank you very much for your kind words, Nadia. I will keep in mind to update you on my D. parishii. At the moment it's almost leafless and there were no buds when I last checked about a week ago. Happy growing and Happy New Year 2022! And greetings to Greece! :)
Thank you, Laurie! :) I just saw your china berry pictures on instagram and found your art on your website. Just w o w !!! A happy and healthy 2022 to you and your loved ones, too!
Happy New Year to you. Thank you for sharing your videos with us and I really get inspired by them. Knowing that even though I am still growing my cattleya with no blooms that at some point I will be blessed with them. May the new year bring you calm and pleasure and blessings. Enjoy
Happy New Year! What a nice update, I love these types of videos, especially when there were initial issues and then you tell us the plant's history and progress. I'd love updates on you Vandachostylis and Neofinetia hybrids, and also on your Brassavolas. Those are my favorites and I've been buying lots for the past year, thanks to your gorgeous blooms.
Thank you very much for your kind comment, Rian. Vandachostylis, Neofinetia and Brassavolas - I will keep those in mind. :) Happy growing and Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!
It was Laelia tenebrosa for me. Waited for 4 years. Then it bloomed. My god it was worth the wait. If it never does bloom again I don't care at all (it bloomed again this year, about 4 year later but I was away and the beetles ate the blooms by the time I got back😭). Frances Fox is my favourite. If I had to choose one orchid only, it would be it. As you stated, it is a demanding orchid. Needs lots of light, water and fertiliser. But the blooms are worth. And it is a repeat bloomer/keeps producing buds until the stem of the spike dies off. I had one once that kept going for two months or so.
Sorry for replying so late, almost a year later. I had done portraits a long time ago, but since all Phals receive the same care on my windowsills I don't have much information I can give, unfortunately. Happy growing! ! :)
Great blooms video, loved it! So beautiful cattleya blooms! I have bought two led light on top of my cattleyas to help them bloom, but not sure if this helps. Thanks very much for sharing your gorgeous blooms with us! Have a happy, healthy and wealthy New year!
Hi Mary, I'm absolutely sure they will appreciate the added light. I think light is one of the crucial factors, if my windowsills lack light, everything gets weaker and slows down. Happy growing and a happy and healthy and wealthy New Year 2022 to you as well! :)
Happy New Year! 🎊 Growing orchids is really a game of patience. At least I have become much more patient since I started to grow them. 😆 It’s awesome that you keep all your old footage so that we can see before and after. The Bc. Copper Queen is very beautiful! The blooms of the second flowering look so different from those of the first flowering. I could hardly recognize it! Now I am really looking forward to the scent of the Cattleytonia division you kindly gave me. It is doing great. As for what orchids I would like you to update us on, I think I will go for the primary hybrids of Phalaenopsis. 😍 Wishing you a wonderful 2022 with even more beautiful blooms! 🌸
Happy New Year! :) Sometimes I'm getting dissatisfied or impatient and must remember it's perfectly normal not all orchids are looking superduper at all times. I'm so glad your Cattleytonia is doing well. I regret not having given you way bigger divisions so that you could start with strong plants. I was too anxious, I guess. Looking back it doesn't make much of a difference to the plant if you pull it apart here or there. Speaking of Phal primary hybrids: I have a (looong) video about P. Princess Kaiulani coming up (hopefully today). Have a wonderful Sunday! :)
🤗🤗Yeah🥳! What a treat…another video from 🐝🐝! So well timed too, I was contemplating giving away all my Cattleya…then I see your blooms and some flowering after so many years. I have to give mine another chance. Love your Cattleya collection. Please do a video on your Phalaenopsis…do you still have the Princess Kahulani and The Mariae? 🌸💕
Hi Sue, thank you for your lovely comment and sorry for replying so late, almost a year later. Have you kept your Cattleyas? My Princess Kaiulani has done very well after the repotting. I've given away my mariae, though. Happy growing and all the best for 2023! :)

Wow, my Frances Fox never got that far. Future goals.😃 Happy growing! 🍀
Can you do a phalaenopsis species portrait? So for example on the hieroglyphica and if that works on some of your other species?

I have a Zygonisia with one bud. 🥴. Bought it as a rescue and have never seen a bloom. 🙏🏻. Happy new year.

Love the flowers. Where did you get the chantily lace. I couldn’t get the name of the nursery where you got it from
Thank you! I got it from a fellow orchid friend: Jun's Orchids on youtube. Happy growing! :)
What did you pot it up in?
I think that Siam Jade is variety 'Avo' I have the same. :)
Thank you! I think you are right. :) Happy growing!
I make it a point that all my orchids are delivered bare root.
