Watching this made me check my driving position again because I’ve never been fully comfortable in my car since getting it 18 months ago. With having long legs & a short body means you need the seat far back but that means you’re stretching for the steering wheel unless it has good reach adjustment. I thought I’d pulled the steering wheel out as much as it would go but tried again giving it a good pull and out it came! At last, I’m not knocking my hands into legs when turning the wheel more than a quarter because they’re now straighter and under the steering wheel (instead of being splayed out either side) but still with plenty of knee bend to operate the pedals. It’s made such a difference and I had a massive grin driving the car after the changes so thanks for posting this Reg. 🙏🏾
Hi Reg, what about lumbar support? I have a F20 like you and feel that the side supports squashes you but doesn’t offer any support for your lower back
The problem I found in cars with a higher seating position such as that Rav 4 was that once you were seated correctly it would make the angle of your ankles very sharp, and that would cause pain over longer distances. Sadly not all cars suit every driver, especially if you are very tall or very short.

Yep, that’s very true. Which is why I said to experiment in your own car, as every cars seating set up is different. 😃
