Hi, I am just curious if the old paint flakes are swept off into the sea or are they brought back to port? I would think it would be easier to just sweep them off, but I don’t know if they have regulations or anything. I imagine any metal flakes just erode into powder as it rusts away.
It depends, if it is only dusty small paint flakes we just sweep to the sea, big loose paint is like plastic so we keep it, put it on garbage then to the port. mostly doing this job specially grinding the rust it makes only dust. Yes they have regulations. (MARPOL annex V)
Helo po idol ko..Nasa kubo nyo ako palage.. nag susubaybay sa mga video mo... sana mapuntah nyo din kubo ko.. salamat po idol ko plss sana po... idolll ko
Why the heck wouldn't you use a big, commercial sandblaster for that sort of job? Something that could strip all loose paint on seconds? Serious question. It looks ridiculously labour intensive what you are doing.
We do other job. More on maintenance of the ship. Like greasing moving parts of the crane, cable and mooring winches. Cleaning cargo hold. And more. depends on our rank in the ship and situation, in port or at sea.

Is this a full time job painting the ship or do you do other jobs?
