- Check out our recipe for a Hertz GT350 resto-mod. The goal in this build was to stay as TRUE as possible to the Hertz visual “DNA” while dramatically enhancing the car in every category where real world driving is concerned. This car is about as good as it gets if you like vintage “hall of fame” looks blended with modern upgrades.

Restomods, the best of both worlds. Modern performance, classic looks. Why can’t you have your cake and eat it too?
This car is awesome, last year when I was 18 I bought my first classic mustang(66 coupe), plan to keep it forever and do a crazy build on it, and then if it works out, having a fastback next to it in the garage that is fairly stock, but modified like the one in the video
Very very nice. Cool car. Much improved over the original car, even it was an a Shelby when born.
Thanks!
You're absolutely right. Great stang to begin with, but you guys made her awesome!
Who does all the mechanical work on your beautiful cars?
Look forward to more amazing rides.
We do some and have a couple shops help when needed.
sounds like the exact checklist on my 66. i have a 65gt and a 66. one thing i have to mention is i would never have bought the holley efi sniper systems if i would have known then what i know now. took my mechanic forever to get the 65 to work with the sniper. the 66, we're about to give up. i even called a local sniper efi certified mechanic and he says they are garbage. very hard if not impossible to find someone willing to work on them because they don't even work out half of the time. me and the mechanic were talking about going back to the carburetor and stroking the 302 to a 347. but, just too bad, i really wanted the efi sniper to work.
Very Nice and tastefully re-done!
Thanks!
This car is perfect
Yeah, she's sweet!
Nice! I think mild, upgraded but stock looking resto-mods are my new favorite. Very tastefully done. I'm curious what the plaque under the radio says...
Thanks, yeah we love this style build as well! The decal says, "This vehicle is equipped with competition brakes. Heavier than normal brake pedal pressure may be required."
That is one beautiful car! #SuperJealous
Thanks!

So what was the A/C? I have a 1966 fastback and a very fluffy dog so cool air is a must. Also, I love the car and video!

I remember when Hertz was selling these car
Is That A Shelby Tach on Dash,Very Hard & Expensive To Find NowAdays?Yep,Just Got to End of Video,See,IT IS. If U Can Find One,About $750-850 Just for the 8000rpm ,Tach.
What is the gear in the rearend?
Most had there motors stole on rental
What is the point, these cars are soo expensive it’s just going to go to some old rich fart who will drive it once a week and let die out.....
Actually it sold to a guy in his twenties
I actually rented a GT350H in June of 1966 for $19.00 a day. After a night of drag racing on the street, drove home into my parents driveway and the front disc brakes failed (overheated caliper piston). I was off to USMC boot camp the next day, and Hertz came out to the folks house to tow the car away. No charge because of the brake failure.
