While not as badass as the ultimate experience i can easly say that d'orbis was the hardest boss in the entire game... when i was at lvl 74. I can't imagine mow much patience and dedication you had to had to do it at lvl 1. Congrats my man
Only attempted the beach boss afterwards once so far, but I feel maybe it's a contender. Or I was just lazy during that attempt. Like the boss on his off days.
Yeah, the hardest (mandatory) challenge in the game is easily the fight against the gods. By that point, you should have mastered every tool in your toolbox, and the reason fire and electric are so hard to dodge is likely because they want you to perfect guard them. Fire especially, guarding such a wide hitting sweep, even if it isnt perfect timing, goes a long way to surviving the fight. If you can perfect guard, on the other hand, you get a much more generous window of invincibility compared to a dodge, which needs quite a bit of gear buffs to even have a chance of abusing i-frames. ...And all of this is coming from someone who mostly refuses to guard in my playstyle. XD
Good work mate! ^^ I abstained from wave decoy during my own playthrough but I'm glad it's in the game for challenges like this. Makes the unfairer attacks a little more bearable
the electric and fire boss in the d'orbis fight are muuuuch easier to parry than to dodge, the timing is super consistent. I really recommend learning parrying alongside dodging instead of just dodging
I really liked the video and the script felt well written and coherent. One suggestion i want to give is that you should really consider buying a better microphone and turn the bg music down a little, because mostly for these script heavy videos, a better and clearer voice could do wonders, especially because the script is already good. (easier said than done, mics are expensive lol)
Honestly, when I did PTH, I found the Ultimate Experience harder than the gods in the DLC. Maybe because by the time I reached the end of the DLC I'd perfected my strategy of cheesing with Once More from the fire tree and then switching to wave to immediately heal so I could survive another attack. Also, funnily enough, I discovered during my no dash/only shield run that ice is the best element for fighting Di'Ario, since if you can unlock Bastion twice then you can actually guard against attacks from above. Though, I guess that wouldn't really be applicable in this run unfortunately :( you'd never get enough CP
Once again, great thumbnail! Very well written video in general too! It was a delight to be able to watch you going through the DLC back in the day, and it was fun to relive these memories right here.
You can actually dodge them consistently, if you dodge towards enel on the opposite side he's holding his sword before attacks with the right timing he'll always miss
@@Spellweaver5 Without enough defense or having negative solid guard, you can't parry or even block anything that deals too much damage. He has the thrashing ripper weapon equipped when he was fighting me, which most likely means if you're doing a level 1 run, you're going to have negative solid guard
After build around foc and flash step. I never see a need to do parry. All 4 gods have easy dodge timing when i change to shock. Even for e'nel attack, i dodge wherever i want and it work
A piece of advice, why not use the highmeister glove? It's literally easier free block, and create stronger opportunities to counterattack instead of dodging?
because its an ascended gear which means its own level scales with Lea's level and because he was level 1 the entire time, the gear was at level 1 and it has worse stats
Wait you dodge those attacks in the boss? I parried most of my way during boss attacks (except for the wave attacks since those is better to dodge imo)
i mean duh you can beat it at level 1, no matter the level you can always somehow damage enemies, this is more of a "can I beat" challenge to be honest.
I'm a simple man. I see a CrossCode video, I click.

i did that at level 75 with cross gear and it took me 2 or 3 attempts, pretty easy
@@justenoughrandomness8989 had to learn about the decoy just to get the timings better at lvl 76 😭
@@brewbi i thought decoy was trash with the tiny dash back then

you can dodge e'nel's basic flame sword attacks. they are aimed UP or DOWN, you have to dodge the way they dont hit

di'aro was my most hated since i could never figure out how to dodge the hammer swings, and the ice box got me way too many times.
The way I dodged him was to dodge where he's coming from

Great video my man!!! Really liked the textbox edits. The eggman ones were fun. :D

Congrats on completing Crosscode! A game I really enjoyed personally. :)

Not true because of how damage is calculated when accounting for attack and defense
ITS HERE!!!
Pretty sure the fire god's attacks are meant to be parried, not dodged.

@@Jishwasher maybe. But it's so easy to parry them, though. And it gives you more time to attack.
