- Highlights from stage 10 of the Tour de France 2023. A 167.2km stage between Vulcania and Issoire. It's a typical up-and-down day in the Massif Central with hardly a metre of flat road. The cat. 3 Côte de la Chapelle-Marcousse (6.5km at 5.6%) peaks with 30km remaining before a mostly downhill run-in to the line.

Nice how Jonas & Tadej seem to greet in the cool-down area a lot - maybe even spin together? A fierce competition on the track but otherwise just normal guys with mutual respect👍

I would have loved to see the Vingegaard/Pogacar group continuing their early breakaway. An interesting stage was so close to becoming an epic stage!
Interesting to see van Aert and MVDP trying to bridge a gap together. These 2 will be linked forever in cycling history.
How these guys just get on with business regardless of the tough stages they are given is commendable. Massive climbs, heat, narrow roads, 160+km etc. Id spend 5 mins at the start of a ride assessing it before realising its too hard and saying "f#@k this im going home"..

What was the miles & miles of (apparent) whitewashing on the roads all about?
They wanted to prevent the asphalt from getting so hot that it starts melting. At least that was said on a live Broadcast i watched.

what is the problem, if professional teams decide, for their own reasons, to have people wear masks.
Several teams lost multiple riders to Covid during the Giro, including Jumbo Visma .
I watched the last 60km live and I lost my internet connection at 2km left and understood absolutely nothing of what happened with the 3 breakaways with this highlights or any other highlights from any broadcast. Who caught who and if the third breakaway caught the second with a small mention of the first breakaway catching the first lone rider with bare bones explaination. Then nothing about where Pogacar and Vinnegard were until the end of the race with a tiny commentary. Nothing on how tactics would play out and what future tactics might come of this race for the top riders in GC.I mean I can go on and on but even the simplest parts that are the bread and butter of the Tour De France are just not taken in consideration in th ehighlights and even in the live race this is a general Tour de France sickness but at least with the live you can figure out what is going on thanks to our hard work but not becasue of the commentators or th ebraodcasting and presenting quality..
Don't have a clue what the winning team is about or trying to sell and the name in itself lets me know not to bother, self proclaimed names are only for people who have nothing worthwhile to offer.
These guys certainly show the sissy professional footballers up who can't play 2 games a week for a kings ransom.
I don't understand why Tadej pull strongly at the start of the race (?), nonsense at all. I adore him but sometimes I think he is too much impulsive.

@@MrSukrasch no, he does that frequently (50 km of solo breakaways) and a lot of time he obtains incredible results, but today the circumstances were absolutely adverse ( 168km, evil, infernal heat). I don't know what popped in that crazy head.
He knows these stages are where he can dent the GC big time but seems like he'll conserve now until the next mountain stage.
@@swimgood3873 I listened to tadej post-race interview, he said that he thought this stage would be easier, instead (because the heat) it was the toughest.

@@redjetsen1002 Jumbo has lots of good riders, and pogi is still very strong. So Jumbo is saving their team leaders energy, it’s the teams order. It’s not too hard to understand
