All Hail Cardiel !!! My all time favourite skater. The dude is the epitome of hardcore skating. There might be better but no one can top the gnar and the endless stoke Cardiel has.
So abruptly? Dude ripped at the highest and most gnarly level for over ten years man. And not to mention he was injured skating and would kill to be out there again. There’s nothing abrupt about this mans legacy dude show some respect.
Gonz inspired more kids to skate...than Rodney...and I'm a fan of both guys. Gonz is amazing, I just wish you young guys had the patience to appreciate what that man did for the culture as a whole... without him, Skating would lack an abstract approach or substantial style....What Gonz influenced... is now missing from the game as a whole..creative and original style. Props to Hosoi too as he did the same for vert skating.
wait was that huge 50-50 that Cardeil did in San Francisco right outside of a hotel?if if is then i stayed at that hotel and saw it,i mean it looks big on camera but that rail was SUPER long and steep, crazy that he even tried it let alone 50-50 it and land it.
99% sure Cardiel is the ONLY skater to do anything on that rail, I looked, found nothing. (Union Square rail SF). Partly because, I think its gone for good.
Hey John it's an old skateboard 🛹 buddy Frog 🐕 I skateboard with and Kieth cockran in 86 and I remember you and Henry Sanchez and aEric Jay back in the Day!?good time at embarcadero and stuff way back in the Day Derek Bullene your awesome family members Friend Aka Frogger 🐸
wrong, look at hosoi, grosso, blender, etc.. they laid foundations for tricks to be mimic'd in the street decades later. Oh and their style was TOP at the time. still is classic
There is a clear difference between the world 'influential' and 'innovative'. Mark Gonzales is/was/will/always be the most influential skateboarder of all time. The first to do anything! Handrails, switch, big stairs, wallies, grinds and slides and most importantly style. You kids out there who have only been watching street league, I highly suggest you do your homework and background checks on Mark Gonzales......
Dude natas was doing all the with him. Natas was the dude who came up with the handrail and first tried it. He was doing it at a beach before he attempted the first one we all know. Then him and gonz landed one in the same demo session. Anyways natas wasn't quite as good as gonz but he lead the way for much of it with gonz
GONZ is the most influential skater OF ALL TIME...HANDS DOWN! I love Rodney too...as I put him in a category of the MOST INNOVATIVE SKATER OF ALL TIME. What a lot of you young guys fail to remember...before Rodney street skated, he was a freestyle skater, and what's so ironic is street skaters were not influenced by him at the time, even while taking Rodney's tricks to the streets. Gonz brought forth the artistic vision, and attitude to skating, first to go switch, first hit handrails. Style
Mike you are funnyman I remember the squirt gun incident at Travis airbases that is Soo funny man ha ha ha ha ha ha ha yah Cory duffle bag ha ya that's my Dad ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha he said yah 🐟 sandwich King brotha Man Happy days 🐸 Derek Bullene your family members friend always!
Put it this way, if there was no Mark Gonzales...there would be NO Mike Carroll or Sean Sheffey or Eric Koston or Rick Howard or Henry Sanchez or Tim Gavin or Tom Penny. If those guys didn't come out, you wouldn't have Gino Iannucci, Keenon Milton. Following up, you wouldn't have Mike Mo, Malto, Beibel. Basically anyone who is coined 'stylish' or has 'style' on a board. In fact! There wouldn't be 'style' in skateboarding if it wasn't for Gonz
Don't be so humble there Mr. Cardiel. You're the man and easily on of the best skaters ever.
sight unseen is one of the best videos ever
This dude is the nicest guy you could ever meet!!!
Just a legend!
All Hail Cardiel !!! My all time favourite skater. The dude is the epitome of hardcore skating. There might be better but no one can top the gnar and the endless stoke Cardiel has.
I’m sad it ended so abruptly but I’m happy to see the footage we do get to see, it’s nothing but a blessing to see Cardiel skate. ALL HAIL CARDIEL!
So abruptly? Dude ripped at the highest and most gnarly level for over ten years man. And not to mention he was injured skating and would kill to be out there again. There’s nothing abrupt about this mans legacy dude show some respect.

it is psycho huge... that's why you've never seen anyone else doo it
DouchedByDemocrats
and not only it's huge, it's a small round rail, i never get how the fuck people can balance on round rails like that.
Garf2O cross lock your trucks instead of just on one side
@@tweekedmobb1789 That's a new thing, I'm pretty sure cross locking it wasn't a thing back then yet. He did it the old way.

Is it me or did they ask him pretty much the same question like 3 times?
wrong, look at hosoi, grosso, blender, etc.. they laid foundations for tricks to be mimic'd in the street decades later. Oh and their style was TOP at the time. still is classic

Cardiel is king but Gonz is God.
Kids watching street league "geek league" shouldn't watch the gonz or anything rad because they already kooked it hard and theres no turning back.

Rodney Mullen is the most influential skater of all time !!!
THE BEST
Connor Robinson innovation means something new or first therefore you should replace your adjectives lol
Is it me or does he sound like Rodney Mullen?
Put it this way, if there was no Mark Gonzales...there would be NO Mike Carroll or Sean Sheffey or Eric Koston or Rick Howard or Henry Sanchez or Tim Gavin or Tom Penny.
