      my aim is to make these ideas accessible to anyone
      in primary school i found a bolt action rifle with a new type of magazine, and guess what, everyone on youtube built magazines like that since then
      i wanna be that guy who comes up with that one popular mechanism, whatever it is

      @@gklabs it's okay, if someone looks for this stuff they'll find it anyway
      i know shoutouts can mean a lot, but "insane new lego gun" grabs classmates' attention more than "this one guy on youtube" and unfortunately i don't have anything on the level of those shell ejecting, working spas-12s so anything (yet)

    Interesting! A string works nicely in a tube mag eh XD

      it's the only way to have a follower in a 1x1 space, without a spring that's as long as the mag utself

    Nice would be interesting having this in a relatively small gun (like 4 studs wide our similar to that)

      i plan on making a 130cm lever rifle with a 4 wide receiver, and 3 wide barrels
      come to think of it i have a prototype mag, lifter, bolt, lever, hammer/trigger mechanism just taking up space here, i could realistically tape together some terribly low quality lever gun that's an inch away from working

      2 hours later: i did that
      all it's missing is a firing pin, and it's held together by love good wishes

      the lifter itself is just about final, the way you move it isn't, neither is the bolt or lever, there's a separate model for those
      i have 4 different lever rifle receivers man i need help

    MR KRABS I HAVE AN IDEAAAAA 💡
    Sooo if 1 bullet comes back out, the stopper" the thing that when you load in the "shells" that thing that stops it from coming out, it can be used to eject da boolet , it fling it out if a mechanism is made to pull it back and then it flings the shell away, holding the trigger will not make it leave later on, it will be like those double action pistol mechanisms, it will release either way

  • @medpig04
    @medpig04 2 роки тому

    And how to pull them out after that so that they do not fly out all at once?

    • @Retrad_
      @Retrad_  2 роки тому

      i used a flat stopped here, but a real gun has a notch on it's top side, when it goes down to chamber a round, only one bullet fits on it

      that only works if you have larger bullets, i'd need either a split in the side of the tube to attach rubber bands, or a really long follower that pokes out the other end
      that's why i pull it back with a string, because that works with a 1x1 hole
      technically a lot of springs would work too, but they would probably do unexpected things when not under load, and i most definitely don't have 2 spare lego springs for every bullet i wanna load
