- this one uses the henry rifle style straight block type of lifteridoo, opposed to the mossberg or marlin type of tilty lifty ones
block:
-difficult to build
-reliable, it just go up (butithastostaylevelandcontrolledfromthesideand...)
tilty tongue thing:
-easy to build
-looks cooler
-will probably misbehave under magazine tension
no this one doesn't have a trigger, it could, i just didn't feel like building the back of the frame too
Very smooth and mechanical mechanism lovely work, for the mag tube i recommend getting a spring from a cheap airsoft mid cap magazine, no need for a rubber band and covers up the entire magazine tube like I did with my lever action

well i had a pistol and thought "i want a two handed toy too" but shotguns are too large and bolt actions are too simple, so i thought "has anybody made lever rifles before" so here i am tinkering on my pump/lever action rifle's hammer, still have a few months from that one year promise ; )

I'm trying to make something similar to this, but I don't care about it shooting. Instead I want it to eject casings. Any tips?
you'll have a hard time my guy... shooting is an extra at no added cost, but ejection needs an extractor and a one wide bullet isn't a great place to start
you could try using a springloaded lifter to shoot the round upwards, but it could only eject, not chamber a round, that's my guess
@@Retrad_ Yeah I'm using a 2-wide shotgun shell, and I have a little lever and a sharkfin-style ejector like on an AK that tosses the shell out, but I'm having trouble connecting the lever to either the trigger, or the slide.

@@one_leoyt i'm thinking of moving the lifter with a string, connected to the bolt, i know you guys would hate if i used string in every gun, but it makes timing mechanical stuff sooo... so precise and reliable

mine is in 5 different stages of being a proof of concept, i have 3 families of mechanisms and none have a real body, just some crappy frame holding them
How does the firing pin retract?
on this specific model there's a rubber band pulling it backwards very gently, but as it turns out the bullet being in the way would also reset a freefloating firing pin

bad news bro, i have an 80% finished rifle with a different mechanism, this one is discontinued
everything about it is visible, you can build it yourself, but i'm about to salvage this and a few other old receivers for scrap
