Maybe super rare but the harness and straps are an absolute BUZZKILL on that figure and led me to totally pass on it. PLEASE Hasbro re-release with sculpt and paint of the ToyBiz mashed with a Sunfire body mold. 🙏🏻
It pains me to think of the many times I also had SUPER RARE Legends in my hands, checking them out, but I wasn’t collecting the line at the time so I simply just didn’t get them. After I got my first figure though, it made me realize the quality was worth the price, but I have to be EXTREMELY picky with who I decide to buy as I simply can’t afford to get EVERY character that I want, so I have to focus on the absolute favorites.

I’d agree with this list, however the “new” black costume on card spidey as one, and the bomber jacket Cyclops in that X-Men love triangle three pack. I also think that Jean Grey from that pack should of got an honorable mention dude, that figure, so beautiful.
I wish he put the Walgreens exclusive thing on this list because that figure has a good wash, also the two pack storm figure and the two pack hulk figure deserve honorable mentions
I agree with Cap (even though I don't have it yet), Thor, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Spidey! I think my next five would be: Dr. Doom from the Super Skrull wave. Walmart Dr. Strange. Dark Phoenix from the two-pack. Storm from the two-pack. And Walgreens' Baron Zemo! I wanted to list retro Green Goblin, but I only love mine because it was fixed and tricked out by Anthony's Customs! And it occurred to me that Magneto and Venom are still waiting for those near perfect Marvel Legends figures.
Out of those, I only have Rogue… unfortunately, I was late to the Marvel Legends game. The figure that caught my attention and was my first Marvel Legend was Weapon X (Wolverine) from the first AOA wave. Then, I HAD to get his wife Jean.. which eventually led me to get the whole wave. Then the second wave was announced, so eventually I got those. Along the way, I’ve gotten a mix of movie, MCU, and X-Men comic legends. My only complete BAF’s however are just Sugar Man and Colossus (AOA) so far. The whole AOA event was one of my favorites growing up, so I’m hoping a third wave will be announced some time soon…

Maybe it’s cheating to break up a set, but I would personally change out Colossus for the 80th Anniversary 2-pack Hulk. Colossus is definitely an important X-Men figure, but Hulk is one of the most important Marvel characters overall.
I went back and forth on the Colossus/Juggy and Wolvy/Hulk 2-Packs soooooo many times. Hulk only got bumped because that Wolvy didn’t hold up for being as essential, and I also don’t know if the new 20 years one is going to be my preferred Hulk over the 80 years. But yeah, I gotta admit it hurts me not having that Hulk on the Top 10 list.
i would also say the recently released model 13 iron man is an essential. that figure is pure perfection, and along with that, the deluxe war machine is an essential too

I absolutely love that Spider-Man retro one. I regret not buying it over a year ago when I saw it at Walmart and now I can't seem to find it anywhere. They're sold out everywhere and the resell value of it is insane! :(
Pretty good list. I personally would put War Machine and Super Skrull Doom someone on mine, but Retro Spidey would also be #1. Also I found the red on the Spidey from the MJ two pack matches the retro Spidey red, so you can use the open hands from that if you haven't already.
I agree with many of your choices such as retro Spiderman, 20th anniversary Captain America, Wolverine, Beast, Thor and 80th Anniversary Iron Man. But it's hard not to include the 80th Anniversary Hulk. I don't like the idea of BAFs and Deluxe figures not being included, yet 2packs are counted as one like Colosus and Juggernaut. I think in an essentials marvel legends top 10, each figure should be considered as an individual. I haven't done a top 10, but I would include the Walgreens Thing as it's amazing. Other figures you didn't include that I would consider are War Machine, Symbiote Spiderman, Doom, Thanos, Ultron, and Hercules.
If I had an unlimited budget, all of these would be my showpiece figures as well. Since I don’t have unlimited funds, I’ve been able to get a few of these. I’m just missing the Rogue, Cyclops, Wolverine and Beast. I had the Jug and Colossus two pack, but gave it to my brother for Christmas a few years ago. He’s a big X-men fan and he loved it. Worth it. I really like the Retro Spidey, but I personally think its a mixed bag. While I love the drop-down hips, the double-ball peg at the neck is one of the worst interpretations of that joint I have ever seen. Then again, I really like the overall musculature until I remember that the shoulders are wayyyyyyyyy too small.

I really like the movie Venom that came out a couple years ago. Everything about that particular sculpt was really good and I use him as my main Venom. I also like the recent vintage Doctor Doom.
I just started collecting a few Marvel Legends figures. I won't lie they are awesome. So far I have Wolverine the red claw version, Binary, Tombstone and Iron Man classic.

Excellent top ten essential list, Shartimus. I have all the figures but 20th Anniv. Captain America (waiting for my BBTS preorder). I agree though that they are those who have 💩 on what figures you like or pick. I say it's not their channel or their money spent on figures. Negative naysayers need to get over it. My #1 is retro Spider-man. Great poseability, new sculpt. #2 is the pizza Spidey....He's just an amazing in his own right.
Can't argue with that list. All awesome, and essential figures. I would personally have to do at least a Top 20, because I don't think I could narrow it down to just 10. However my #1 is absolutely the same as yours. I think that Retro Spidey is the best Spider-Man figure ever made, (even over the Mafex version). I also like those versions of Wolverine and Iron Man the best as well. I don't have that 20th Cap yet, but I'm sure he will be my favorite Captain America figure when (and if) I ever get him in hand. Ya the Wolverine color being lighter is my preference so I have it over the apocalypse wave Wolverine but it’s absolutely a preference on color for which one is better.
Pretty solid list, although I'd have put maybe one more villain or two, at the very least a Doctor Doom, then again I'm just a big villain guy. Off the top of my head my essentials (in no particular order) would be: Retro Spider-Man 80 Years Iron Man 80 Years Hulk 20th Anniversary Captain America Wolverine (Love Triangle set) The Thing (any version) Caliban wave Beast Super Skrull wave Doctor Doom Retro Kingpin Deluxe MODOK With my Marvel Legends display I occasionally mix in figures from other lines, for me the MAFEX Carnage wins by a mile, but as you said most essential Marvel Legends wise choosing the Venom wave version makes total sense.

I totally agree that the marvel legends 2-pack Colossus & Juggernaut and the marvel legends Beast, Wolverine, Cyclops, Carnage and also the retro card Rogue and Spider-Man are a must have. I have the retro card Rogue, but for the rest, I'm still trying to find and add to my collection.
I had the new symbiote suit spider-man in my hands, and I had to put it down because I couldn't fit it into my budget that day. (I grabbed the Ben Reilly figure that day though!) It sucks to walk away, but fortunately I was able to grab one online.
Probably an odd choice, but the most essential figure in my marvel legends collection has to be the Xemnu wave Red Skull. I’ve been collecting marvel legends since the beginning and always wanted a green jump suit styled Red Skull. Also gotta shout out the super skrull wave Dr. Doom, as that figures a masterpiece too.
There just so many essential hasbro marvel legends out there. It's difficult to narrow it to just 10 figures. Should've been a Top 10 Essential Hasbro Avengers marvel legends figure, Top 10 essential hasbro spider-man marvel legends figures, top 10 hasbro essential x-men marvel legends figures, heck, you could also make a top 10 essential hasbro marvel villains figures, you know, just an idea for a video though, love your videos shart.
Most of your picks are on point but for me personally......I would have to find spots for the Grey Hulk (I can't get enough of that head scupt) and the Walgreen exclusive Thing....so good
My top 10: 1. Spider-Man, be it the new one or the Pizza Spidey, thay have somethings that I like and some that I don't (And come on, Spider-Man is always essential) 2. 80th years Iron-Man, I never thought I would like the figure that much but I think is my favorite ML to date even thought it's not my favorite character 3. Tiger Stripe Wolverine, the one from the Apocalypse or the 3 Pack, I like more the second but yeah, a good Wolverine is a must. 4. Hulk, any good Hulk (My way to go is the 80th years one) It's just a classic character and the mold is great 5. 80th years Thor, a simple figure but it stands out a lot, really like it 6. Walgreens The Thing, again, it stands out a lot and the sculpt is for me one of the bests ever made for the line 7. Doctor Doom, both of them are good, you can't really have a good villain display without Doom and the figure itself is awesome (Although sometimes I fell the plastic piece on his legs is restricting with some poses) 8. Cyclops, the one from the 3 pack and the one from the Warlock wave, I would like a mix of both though 9. Magneto, such a classic character and villain, the sculpt, articulation, looks and accessories are all you need for a nice display along Wolverine and Cyclops (I had troubles thinking which character should be here actually lol) 10. 80th years Captain America, I really like it but the fact that the blue is not bright may throw off some people but the sculpt for the face (The alternate Alex Ross one) is what I really like, even the little shield, but for those cons is that's why he is so low here (I like it as an Alex Ross figure but I can see why some prefer the new one). That's all folks!

I love the 80 years iron man. The tony stark head is amazing too.....but I loooove the Modular Armor. Hard for me to pick.

I love the look of the 2 pack juggernaut but the arms joints pop off easier than the BAF version

Excellent top ten essential list, Shartimus. I have all the figures but 20th Anniv. Captain America (waiting for my BBTS preorder). I agree though that they are those who have 💩 on what figures you like or pick. I say it's not their channel or their money spent on figures. Negative naysayers need to get over it. My #1 is retro Spider-man. Great poseability, new sculpt. #2 is the pizza Spidey....He's just an amazing in his own right.

Can't argue with that list. All awesome, and essential figures. I would personally have to do at least a Top 20, because I don't think I could narrow it down to just 10. However my #1 is absolutely the same as yours. I think that Retro Spidey is the best Spider-Man figure ever made, (even over the Mafex version). I also like those versions of Wolverine and Iron Man the best as well. I don't have that 20th Cap yet, but I'm sure he will be my favorite Captain America figure when (and if) I ever get him in hand. Ya the Wolverine color being lighter is my preference so I have it over the apocalypse wave Wolverine but it’s absolutely a preference on color for which one is better.

Pretty solid list, although I'd have put maybe one more villain or two, at the very least a Doctor Doom, then again I'm just a big villain guy.

With my Marvel Legends display I occasionally mix in figures from other lines, for me the MAFEX Carnage wins by a mile, but as you said most essential Marvel Legends wise choosing the Venom wave version makes total sense.

I totally agree that the marvel legends 2-pack Colossus & Juggernaut and the marvel legends Beast, Wolverine, Cyclops, Carnage and also the retro card Rogue and Spider-Man are a must have. I had the new symbiote suit spider-man in my hands, and I had to put it down because I couldn't fit it into my budget that day. (I grabbed the Ben Reilly figure that day though!) It sucks to walk away, but fortunately I was able to grab one online.
Ya, in Malaysia these are insanely expensive, I wish I have be like Dr Strange just to go to US or Japan and gets these beauties.
Probably an odd choice, but the most essential figure in my marvel legends collection has to be the Xemnu wave Red Skull. I’ve been collecting marvel legends since the beginning and always wanted a green jump suit styled Red Skull. Also gotta shout out the super skrull wave Dr. Doom, as that figures a masterpiece too.

There just so many essential hasbro marvel legends out there. It's difficult to narrow it to just 10 figures. Should've been a Top 10 Essential Hasbro Avengers marvel legends figure, Top 10 essential hasbro spider-man marvel legends figures, top 10 hasbro essential x-men marvel legends figures, heck, you could also make a top 10 essential hasbro marvel villains figures, you know, just an idea for a video though, love your videos shart.
Because I think the carnage figure and the retro venom figure fit into scale perfectly.
Most of your picks are on point but for me personally......I would have to find spots for the Grey Hulk (I can't get enough of that head scupt) and the Walgreen exclusive Thing....so good

My top 10:
1. Spider-Man, be it the new one or the Pizza Spidey, thay have somethings that I like and some that I don't (And come on, Spider-Man is always essential)
2. 80th years Iron-Man, I never thought I would like the figure that much but I think is my favorite ML to date even thought it's not my favorite character
3. Tiger Stripe Wolverine, the one from the Apocalypse or the 3 Pack, I like more the second but yeah, a good Wolverine is a must.
4. Hulk, any good Hulk (My way to go is the 80th years one) It's just a classic character and the mold is great
5. 80th years Thor, a simple figure but it stands out a lot, really like it
6. Walgreens The Thing, again, it stands out a lot and the sculpt is for me one of the bests ever made for the line
7. Doctor Doom, both of them are good, you can't really have a good villain display without Doom and the figure itself is awesome (Although sometimes I fell the plastic piece on his legs is restricting with some poses)
8. Cyclops, the one from the 3 pack and the one from the Warlock wave, I would like a mix of both though
9. Magneto, such a classic character and villain, the sculpt, articulation, looks and accessories are all you need for a nice display along Wolverine and Cyclops (I had troubles thinking which character should be here actually lol)
10. 80th years Captain America, I really like it but the fact that the blue is not bright may throw off some people but the sculpt for the face (The alternate Alex Ross one) is what I really like, even the little shield, but for those cons is that's why he is so low here (I like it as an Alex Ross figure but I can see why some prefer the new one).
