El Cerrito is also very conveniently located to various walking/hiking trails: Pt. Isabel, Canyon Trail Park, Albany Bulb, Tilden, Wildcat Canyon, Blake Gardens, etc. It's also so accessible to Marin via the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge (Pt .Reyes trails!). And there's the Ranch 99 Mall for Asian groceries & eateries.

Thanks so much for this informative video. I am in San Francisco and am considering moving to El Cerrito on account of the lower crime rate and temperate climate. How is the air quality since it's close to Richmond and the Chevron Refinery? The worst part for me would be the power outages. I guess I could get a generator. The best part would be the views, the opposite view of what I currently enjoy in SF.
@@GildaTabarez That's great! And that's a great question about air quality. During non-fire-season times, areas around El Cerrito have better or comparable air quality scores relative to other East Bay cities.
Bay Area Air Quality Management District's site has air quality ratings and specific pollutant concentrations. While there is no data point for El Cerrito, there is one for San Pablo - Rumrill, the only measured point between the Chevron Refinery and El Cerrito:
