Merlin is truly sneaky bastard, when you see how from the beginning, from Uthere to Arthur how he manipulated all the events(evean thought he is a fictional charachter). But still in some sense he is more honorble than Arthur
So your telling me you believe in King Arthur and his dad but not the great advisor Merlin ? Maybe he wasent a real magical person but why do you not believe there was a great court advisor by the name of Merlin ?
In all tales of Mordred and Morgana, nearly all of them state that Morgana drugged and did the deed with Arthur, thus Mordred, thus nearly all of them end with the following: Mordred finds out that Arthur is his father, Arthur rejects the fact he is mordred's father, thus rebellion and the eventual mutual kill. Only one adaption seeks to want to reconcile the two and their differences and wanting to treat them as 1 thing: a goddamn fricking family, as both seek to reconcile their differences, plus this series has possible further implications on how they can reconcile the relationship and that series is called fate
Merlin:"hey Arthur, are you in a good mood?" Arthur:"no... Life f*cking sucks!" Merlin:"wonderful! You remember Morgause right?" Arthur:"...yea...?" Merlin:"that was your sister!" Arthur:"... wait, wasn't Morgan le fay my sister?" Merlin:"70's movies aren't the greatest source of advice" Arthur:"Dammit!"
Arthur was afraid of your doom. Arthur was not stealing another's thunder, he was simply afraid heros were not aware of the danger and horror they faced....
I don't think Arthur claimed the Questing Beast out of greed or altruism. I think it was simply because of how his mind was broken with the dreams. That's just my interpretation from when I read it though. Also, about the kid thing. If some random kid comes up to me and tries to tell me something he should know much less than me about (which is my heritage in this case), I will give him no respect. Treating a child with respect comes when a child does not overstep. If he had provided some form of credibility, despite being a child, that'd be a different story. But, as it is, he was a random child who is curious about Arthur and then acts like he knows Arthur better than Arthur does.
The horse having to be repeatedly asked for bit like when Arthur asks his knight to cast away the sword near end when he's laid low from wounds..? And Merlin taking different forms is also a test of hospitality.. repeating requests as a test of sincere desire, and how welcoming you are to a stranger..both are Christian virtues, but they're set out in a human accessible way as Arthur had flaws even Merlin did!!
Merlin seems to have more in common with Odin. Prophesy, a knack for disguises, testing hospitality, cryptic advice and a manipulative streak- all traits of the Germanic trickster god concerned with war, death, trickery, poetry, wisdom, and wandering.
Arthur.... The worst King in history. He honestly should've never been King, but history won't change. And neither will my hatred for the failure of a king.
@@murilopenagoncalves3831 No, I mean, didn't he send out literal infants to drown? That's what I heard. Because if so, then that really contradicts King Arthur's character of being a kind heroic king who imposes justice tbh
@@fancyxemon2706 Yeah, that happend in one of the versions of the story. It was after he learned about a prophecy regarding his defeat made by Merlin, no?
I think iv only sern a few versions of king Arthur eere he dosnt have an unknown baby with one of his half sisters because there have been stories where he has to have sisters or most of the time it's just the one who has sister Morgan Le Fay there was one story I swear I read somewhere where he had more than two sisters he had like 12 or more but I was really young when I read this so I don't really remember 😅 I really hope if people keep adapting King Arthur especially nowadays they leave this part out cuz I get sick of reading this cuz I'm like oh this is what stuff gets worse for him and is always comes back to sleep with what his sister's for some reason we just keep this part of the storys XD Just let him have his downfall in another eay or i dont onow just let him be king have hard ships that dont lead to making kids with hus sister and just let him die old 😂
I love Arthurian legends. As deeply & psychologically tragic as it might be, it’s beautifully spoken and written. Long Live King Arthur !
The British love his lore and is beloved by all.
LONG LIVE KING ARTHUR!!!
Mordred: Oh l just can't wait to be king
Arthurian Legends sure seem to have more psychological depth than I assumed.
We only get the boring parts on TV like how he gets becomes a king. While the part where he currupts or his downfall remains ignored.
M3rtyville And his affair lovechild
You are one of the only good UA-camrs that doesn't scream at everything.
Who’s channels are you watching? 😂
I love Arthurian Legends. They have been my favorites since I was a child. I would love to hear you do the story of Sir Galahad.
I Always enjoy listening to stories about King Arthur history

With his pre cognitive and causality related abilities it must have been very easy.

Lol human logic all of these historical events that happened because of this person are real but that person that caused the events ..he’s not real ..
"Sneaky Bastard", boi the man was a Demons son
This is what happens when you become Chad Pendragon.
Excellent video. Can't wait for more! I find Arthurian Legends incredibly fascinating. Also, loved the metaphor and the end and your low-key humour!
the metaphor at the end was priceless

1:06 “Guinevere, the daughter of king Neil Degrasse”
Wtf?! Am I hearing things again?!
King Leondegrance, but an interesting thought.
“Again” 😂
The phrase I remember from childhood was "dipping your wick in every barrel you see."
Merlin:"hey Arthur, are you in a good mood?"
Arthur:"no... Life f*cking sucks!"
Merlin:"wonderful! You remember Morgause right?"
Arthur:"...yea...?"
Merlin:"that was your sister!"

Fascinating stuff. I’ve been doing a deep dive into Arthurian legends recently and I can’t wait to watch more of these videos.
Arthur was afraid of your doom. Arthur was not stealing another's thunder, he was simply afraid heros were not aware of the danger and horror they faced....
Love this channel! Blessings of more subs and monetization for you and yours!
Thank you legend of history for video

such good content
Imagine if they Arthurian legends, were written like Game of Thrones
Wait so Gawain is related to Agraivaine(The Opening of the video) did morgana screw someone else or was that just a mistake in the document.
Such a sad story if you think about it
May I ask where you get the artwork from? Such as the thumbnail artwork? Do you draw them yourself?
Mordred is best girl! All Hail the Crimson Dragon Empress!
This guy could read the phone book and I wouldn't get bored.
He sounds like a southern bloke from England but it could just his accent
Can you please do a video on Horibe Yasubee?
Hahahaha I wish that servant only brought back 1 horse and Merlin jacked it too. Fuckin funny🤣🤣🤣
This explains England"s blood Line quite clear. 😘
Power corrupts even the purest of hearts
seiiiba
Ignorance isn't the same thing as innocence. And the moral of the story is keep your hands to yourself and keep it in your pants.
Ignorance and innocence are two sides of same coin..? Depends on your point of view, (star wars paraphrase lol)
Not even close, the moral is to get offended like a snowflake
Now the story gets interesting
Isn't Morgorh King Arthur's half sister?
The questing beast sounds a lot like a giraffe
nice
If he was just a better father, the kingdom would've been fixed

Why? The guy was just human, he made mistakes just like everyone else.

Can you make a video on Azrael the last of the 4 Archangel in the Islam?
10:45 no good deed goes unpunished!? 😉
Morgause is his aunt tf
I don’t think the intent here is to portray Arthur as flawed but be all like women be bad don’t trust them
you obviously just read place names rather than learning them too funny
