    I feel so grateful to have gotten a chance to talk to Blackjack Mulligan in part of this interview. At 1:01:37 I got the opportunity to ask him who the best bookers he ever got the chance to work for were as far as being creative and having good ideas that kept the people coming back. Blackjack gave me such a great answer to my question! Unfortunately I did;t make it to the Fanjets that year even though I was planning to go. Something came up at the last minute that prevented me from being able to go. The only consolation is from what I seem to remember, Blackjack did;t make it either. I think it was because he was suffering bad effects from a case of the beds he got when he was deep sea diving. He was never the same again after getting the bends, sadly. But I truly believe that Blackjack lived an amazing life! Rest In Peace, Blackjack and one day I'll be up there and we can finally talk face to face! You were the best!

      +Stealthbomb I knew there was something I liked about them two lol. didn't care for Irwin R Schyster too much , but he married into that family . His wife was probably meaner than he was .

    Blackjack has a great personality and is a wonderful story teller. I loved his autobiography - "True Lies And Alibis" and you could tell what an amazing life he's lived. The places he's been and the places he's been. If Blackjack had been born later and was just becoming an adult now, I think he'd be getting into The UFC. The UFC really needs some real badasses with personality too like Mulligan and Wahoo. UFC is suffering because their fighters lack personality and charisma.

      UFC are fighters,not performers like WWE contracted staged work,so anything you see in UFC is on the level,unlike WWE

    I can't believe Barry Windom is Mulligans son. Barry has told stories about Black Jack and always referd to him as Jack Mulligan and never dad

    @TheFdale He’s Blackjack Mulligan, former WWWF (“World Wide Wrestling Federation” the WWE back when it was owned by Vince McMahon, Sr.) tag team champion. In 2006, he and his former tag team partner Blackjack Lanza were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
    He’s also the father of Barry Windham (Four Horsemen) and Kendall Windham and the grandfather of Windham “Husky Harris” Rotunda (Nexus) and Taylor Rotunda.

    Funny how around the 30 minute mark they are talking about his grandkids and he asks if they had seen his grandkids any and one of the interviewers says that "Taylor seems like the one with star quality". That comment hasn't aged well at all lol.

    The big city fans back then in 71' (Boston and NYC) were pretty crazy and the latinos got really passionate about the latino wrestlers.If you wanted to sell out an arena just put a popular latino or hispanic wrestler on the card. It often worked.

    i remember his run at the wwf back in like 1982 when i was a kid....he used to use his iron claw on the tv shows on channel 9 and make the opponents heads bleed from the pressure and they would x out the screen with a censored signed.....my mother (who thought this was all real) would try to get me to turn my head because she thought it was too gruesome for me to see at my age.
    never forget that

    • @trappenweisseguy27
      @trappenweisseguy27 8 років тому

      I remember that. They used to do the same thing with baron Von Raschke and his claw. I seem to recal BJM using a heart punch as well.

    oh yeah? I'm 41 and remember seeing Windham at a house show wrestling as Blackjack Mulligan Jr. before making it to tv as Barry Windham. That's how I knew he was his dad.
    Furthermore Blackjack rules, as does his grandson Bray Wyatt -- you'll see and can't forget to say Cena sucks before pressing post

    you see how you reacted to cena writing "JBL is poopy" ?? THAT is why he did it. because of all the things he could have written, using the term "poopy" would be the least serious thing he could do. think of cactus in ECW when he was doing the headlocks-only thing. it's a way for the wrestler to put the screws to the "smart fans"

    Nah. He doesn't suck. There are many worse than him. As you said he's stale.
    The lame childish stuff Cena does also bugs the hell out of me. The worst example I can think of is the time he had spraypaint and wrote on JBL's limo "JBL is poopy"
