Penelope Four Grain Bourbon Barrel Strength Whiskey | Review 5

Penelope has been everywhere in the whiskey world lately! They have been acquired by MGP and there is a ton of excitement around the transaction. It seems like this move will help Penelope scale and potentially have even more available to them to blend. Either way, I'm really excited for where Penelope is heading, but let's take a second to see where they are right now with their batch 14 barrel strength four grain!

Great job, Ty! I'm new to the bourbon world - have been working on developing my palette and have come a long way in the last two weeks. Although this can be a bit pricey at first, having already spent over $600 in last two weeks while working on my base collection. Sticking with 100+ ABV only for the most part. Favorite so far is a store pick 9 year Knob Creek - 120 proof. Super delicious! Good luck, sir!

When you’re starting a collection it can feel like you need every single one (FOMO is real haha) but definitely plenty out there to build a great bar/collection. I think some batches are better than others but I still feel like overall these are still great for the price. With MGP acquiring them, I wonder if that will help with consistency. 🥃
