A great tip my mom taught me: all berry stains will come out if you pour boiling water through the fabric stretched over a bowl. Magic!

Or rub bar keepers friend on the stains. Made with Oxalic acid, natural and environmentally safe.

I loved your video, we planted seedless blackberries and they are seeded ones and with diverticulitis you can't eat seeds and there are LOTS of them. I will try this.

I have wild blackberries growing in my backyard. They are just beginning to ripen. I have picked a little more than a quart in the last couple of days. I hope to get enough to make a couple of cobblers.

Can you save the pulp after seeding in order to make a cobbler? I make them with the seeds but would love to figure out a way to de-seed them & keep the pulp. Thanks!

Vice versa...jam has the fruit pulp (and perhaps seeds); jelly uses juice only.

I have a food mill, but if I had those bags, then I would hang them from the kitchen cabinet with twine and let it keep dripping. Reminds me of dripping out whey from cheese. Have a Blessed Day!

6996katmom , I have read recipes using the jelly bag and they leave overnight to drip and squeeze out as much juice as possible. I am going to order some jelly bags and try this.

I always thought that jam had more fruit pulp and jelly was just the juice. I just finished harvesting my second crop of berries from my garden and planning on using my Squeezo to remove the seeds to make what I considered jam but now you have me confused.

I have a simple question. If a recipe calls for 6 cups of fruit, for example, and you do this process and you end up with 4.5 cups of juice, do you need to use more fruit to get 6 cups of juice to equal 6 cups of fruit or does it even work that way? Is the 4.5 cups of juice the same as 6 cups of fruit? Can you add water to make it 6 cups (which I think might not be the ideal way) or like I mentioned, add more fruit? Thank you.

hi. I have a local tree near me. with some kind of berries on them. I prefer jam. not jelly. I picked them. a really lot of pips in them. what a bother I had. any ideas please. thank you

I have a Roma fruit press that removes the seeds. Other than using a press you would need to strain the berries through cheesecloth or other very fine cloth to remove them. Here's the press I use. It's well worth the money when making sauces and jams. Thank you for tuning in. amzn.to/2dWgmqg

I will push and squeeze the cooked berries through the wire mesh strainer with a wooden spatula as much as I can to get some pulps through before I squeeze the rest of the seeds and juice through a bag!as the bag can not filter the pulp part which is a pity to waste them! I am recently learning to make wild blackberries ice cream . A lot of videos suggested that way. Ty

You can use any jelly or fruit strainer bags. I try to get fine, not extra fine. The bigger the better if they’re reusable. I sometimes buy this brand. www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwiK_tD--5mCAxXIR38AHUykBrkYABAJGgJvYQ&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4vKpBhCZARIsAOKHoWR7sLbEuDUQNq4DBMzgimvPtQ4HpjFl1Zk9G08tPu2gnIlnP-5ml0UaAiCXEALw_wcB&sph=&sig=AOD64_0ct1xYx756qnUUqp_IZ8vxC_cong&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwiqscX--5mCAxV5kmoFHTq7CQEQwg8oAHoECAMQEA&adurl=

  • @beccaham

Why dont you just use a blender? It doesn't break the berries and the juice is finer. Strain the juice through a strainer when done.

Hi any faster way to get the seeds out of raspberries strawberries etc?
Any electric machines to do it for you?
Do you don’t have to hand press it through a strainer hurting hands and a lot of time.
How about a food mill will that remove the seeds quickly and any electric food mills to be even faster? Any other machines to remove the seeds quicker?
Can you give me some links to these machines you recommend. Thank you very much in advance. 🙂
