Nice job - that screw dropping in must have been a heart-sinking moment! You have the same sausage fingers as me, but a much more skilful way with the more delicate parts of the procedure😅👍.
My kids were looking over my shoulder and love the 'sausage fingers' that's me down to a T, yep not the best but just love the hobby, thank you so much for watching and the comment has raised a giggle, thank you!
Great video of an interesting repair !!! I feel for you with the dropped screw, I absolutely hate it when you think you’re done and then you have to start all over again 😢. BTW, this is the next loco I’m after, preferably with sound, and I’m hoping to find a good deal from a seller that ships to the US..
@@tomsmaerklintrainlayout6742 Did you see part one of this video, with the early Hornby dublo Deltics, these were released in 3 rail but not so detailed. I think the knew release Hornby is sold out now, but there are some really good older models out there. I will ask my school friend (lives in PA) where he gats his locos now, a couple of years back he would order from Hattons or Rails of Sheffield in the UK, pay the expensive postage , but then was able to claim back the tax, making it about the same price in total.
Would have been interesting to try just fitting the DC blanking plate to the loco. It may have been a DCC decoder failure from running on DC; many decoders are happy to do this when the CVs are set correctly, but from experience, some don't like it. Still, good on Bachmann for holding spares.
Great point! I haven't really adopted digital and all I could see (and smell) something had fried, But as you say I was luck to get a spare. Thanks again for watching and the message.
Good repair looks nice running.
